I'm probably going to sound stupid, but does anyone know how Lively Was Naomei works? I know it says drop it to rez allies in the area... but just yesterday, I kept casting it and then dropping it and my party members around me (even right next to me!) are still dead...
Is there something I'm not getting? Or just something I'm not doing correctly?
Is it Naomei's problem or just my problem?

I tried casting it, then dropping near a teammate and tried dropping right on top of a teammate, and neither worked. So then I was thinking, maybe it needed to be held the entire time and have it drop automatically, to no avail. I then tried to have it drop automatically when I died, and nothing!
I'm wondering if it even works at all, but I never saw any posts about it until now. There's no way it's frozen soul causing the problem, as I tried it many times against many different types of mobs, and it just never works! So I just stuck with Flesh of my Flesh.

What's Frozen Soul? If you're referring to Frozen Soil, then no, it doesn't affect it because Frozen Soil technically only affects non-Spirit creatures trying to resurrect, and "dropping the item" isn't really a creature.

Well, there are two accounts of the skill not working.

there is a 1S delay of the skill from drop to the member being rezzed (which is why you can rez yourself)

Actually, Arena Net made an error on the description. With my new tests, I noticed that it doesn't rez allies IN THE AREA, but only NEARBY allies. Actually about a shorter range than that, slightly bigger than the melee range.
