2- Ward vs. Melee - better than spirit b/c of 1 second cast and ability for continuous upkeep
3- Armor of Earth - easy armor buff with easy upkeep of 10 energy

-Blurred Vision: Ward vs. Melee for Rangers (wish it costed 10 energy though)

1) Mirror of Ice. Who wouldent want a spell that could double as a way to inspect your awsome visage -and- make your foes cry?
2) Burning Speed. Funniest_Skill_Ever. Set your self on fire and run around a while till you preform a flaming tackle.
3) Shockwave. Cool picture, cool effect, and gives me dellusions of grandur involving sending stupid warriors flying 100 meters. yummy.
(now in all seriousness, my fave 3 for practicality are: Fireball, Water Trident and Whirlwind.)

For the visual effect meteor shower is one of my favorites.
For the idea over actuall effect thunderclap is another.
For general purpose work despite its exhaustion gale would be the 3rd favorite elementalist spell.
I did have to laugh at the monk~elementalist skills being mentioned. No idea if there was a hidden sarcasm behind it or not.
