wut does bump mean?

bascially in all forums it means to bring your post to the top, many feel they must do this if it goes off the 1st page.. or if they just feel it isn't getting attention. Excessive bumping = spam though.

I never knew bump stood for something heh, just thought it meant bump, learn something new every day.

Then there is the famous "stealth bump" or "ninja bump" where you post in a thread to bump it to the top, and then quickly delete your reply to cover your tracks.

Too bad we can perfectly see the good ole bump&delete
