ALLIANCE MESSGAES, just like guild messages cept for your alliance.

I need this because I want to tell the other alliances having a guild with 387 factions is stupid and you need to get more faction or else a boot is coming for your butt!

I like it, it would go along with another thread I saw sometime in june...but it's a little different, also would help to have some form of alliance rosters ( http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3057221 )

I'm confused as to what you're actually asking for. Alliance messages for your alliance... ok... how is that different than the "% Alliance" chat that we already have?

Blah, every time you log on to the game your guild has an announcement. What I think the OP wants is an alliance announcement too.

Personally I don't think it is necessary. Alliance leaders should be in regular contact with their member guilds anyway, and as leader you should have the guts to say "shape up or ship out" to them on whisper or alliance, rather than leave it to an announcement.

Oh that makes more sense now. I could see how that could be usefull however, guild message and then alliance message every time you sign on would get a bit anoying. Keep in touch with the leaders.

Comon this is a good deal, I bet GW STAFF is already making this now, and DO YOU really read every guild announcement? I MYSELF only read new updated ones. How much harm can a bunch of words do? How much good can they do? Think about it. Yes! This is a magnificient idea. Everyone start

How much harm can a few words do? Have you noticed how many people complian about the the notice of how many hours you have been on. How many complain about the new chat bubbles over the henches heads. Just because you like it does not mean it has to be done or that anyone else will like it.

Hey all,

My guild has recently started an alliance and we have started events & compititions. We have an alliance forum but not every member of the alliance uses it, we have asked the guild leaders in the alliance to put the link in the guild announcements, however alot of them do not have room as they use the guild announcements for the guild purpose (hense the name).

I think it would be a good idea of ANET to create an alliance announcement just like the guild announcements, so when members log on they can see guild announcements in green (like they already are) and then maybe alliance announcements in say orange or something. That way u will have a much higher chance of communicating information to the entire alliance rather than Pming guild leaders all the time and assuming they are doing would you have asked. I think this is a much needed idea and when u have a multi national alliance in different time zones it will make managing the alliance alot easier. Example: we are holding events & compititions at the moment and it would make life alot easier if you could put that in the notice so when members log on they will see it, and then we will have a greater chance for members participating in these events and interacting with each other, as that surely is the idea of alliances, to create a community of players that interact with each other and join in with events etc.

What if they made a place in the guild screen under alliance tab where you could post announcements? Then anyone who was interested could check there, and anyone who is bothered by announcements doesn't have to look at them.
I personally like the idea of alliance announcement option and alliance roster option.

I quite like this idea too. Of course it doesn't have to be an announcement in the chat screen, but instead an announcement in the guild alliance tab.

The guild I belong to is quite small (only about 10 members) and our alliance guild is about the same size. We're both very active and repeatedly do quests and missions together. Now, it wouldn't be a big thing for us to merge, but we like staying in our separate groups, so having alliance announcements would help us with coordinating bigger events and get-togethers. There's also the problem of members from different time-zones, so everyone is not online at the same time to see a conversation in alliance chat.

One if you are in a alliance that is small its pointless but if you are in the big uber guild it might be useful. Also who can post in it? Officers and Leaders or just Leaders?

just bringing some life back to this place cuz its a good idea. since the guild announcements r made by the guild leader and officers ide say we do such same thing with the Alliance Announcement: the highest person, and the small group of second highest persons. This means the ppl able to edit the Alliance Announcement should be the alliance leader (guild leader of the alliance leading guild) and all guild leaders from the other guilds. this way u get the perfect harmony between editing powers of Guild and Alliance Announcement.

Only both the Guild as the Alliance Announcement should not be in the regular chat. The Guild Announcement should stay in the Guild screen under the tab Status, and the Alliance Announcement should be under the Alliance tab of the Guild screen. Then ppl wont have problems with a "spammed" chat and those who r interested can read it.

However i think that when theres a CHANGE in either of the Announcements, you should get it in chat the next time ur online. This could b just a message that 1 of the Announcements have been edited, or the new Announcement itself. Then there's a use to get it in the chat and ppl will read it, which gives it the use as it should b

Good idea. We do need more spaces / types or note for the guild/alliance. Though I am still looking for the guildwars clock!
