Vizunah Sqare bugged?

Was doing Vizunah Sqare last night and towards the beginning I had used my res sig. When we killed the first boss, my sig didn't reset and we never got any more morales boos throughout the mission despite killing 3(?) bosses.

I'd like to be able to see whether there's a player second party when I enter it or not. The henchies on the other side always let Mhenlo / Togo die...
Besides, it's much more fun with 16 real players! Masters degree for sure!

You can always ask in Team Chat, and if no one replies with (Ally) at the end of their name, you know you're walking with henchies.

The bigger problem with Vizunah Square is Mhenlo falling through terrain. Had this happen to me twice in that mission - once on the stairs before the bookstore, and once after the second combat area, right out of the gates. The second time Mhenlo fell all the way through to the "bottom" and was so far below the party I had to walk back a bit to see him at all. Funny thing is, he kept healing the minions just fine when our MM walked up to see what the fuss was about. I've reported it to ANet already, but received no reply so far.

You're rez sig will not recharge if your team was not the team to kill the boss.

That's weird. How does it determine which team it is? Whoever deals the last shot? How does degen fit into that? If I put poison on the boss but someone else does the final blow they get the credit?

I had this happen to our monk player in Nahpui. He "fell" off a bridge into a pack of patrolling stars. Ah, I still remember the screams of horror...and the loss of a Master's reward for that little snafu.

You couldn't be more wrong. It is programed so that if the other team is ALL henchmen (as in no allied group joined) they are ALWAYS going to be fine on their own.

What you're thinking of is the single people who join in with all henchmen (and for some reason never a good healer) and just get killed.

As well, it is usually a party of humans that will mess up and let Mhenlo or Togo die. People make mistakes, lose connection, have lag, or are just plain bad at their role.

I have personally gotten MASTERS reward on my warrior with a healer hench + a real monk, and the entire other party was henchmen. Now you're trying to tel me that all hench groups can't fight?

True.

The two times I got a all henchies group on the local side, they killed everyone including the boss. The problem with single player entering with 7 henchies, the henchies run toward you leaving the player to keep Togo and himself alive when you get within range.

That can't be right. Even when group of monsters are killing each other (avicara and the titans come into mind as a good example) and a boss dies while I'm not even close to it, I've got morale boost and recharged skills.
Suppose I'll have to pay closer attention to these two team missions to see if it's any different on them, but I don't remember having any morale boost problems there.

I agree completely. i have never had real people on the other side that kept togo or mehelo alive. only all henchies have worked for me.

in fact when i see real people talking in that mission now i leave till i get all henchies cause i only want to do it once...

Vizunah Square would be so much better if you always got 8 henchies on the other side. 8 henchies outperform 95% of local quarter teams in my experience.

As to asking in team chat..not always - there can be foriegn teams, or 1 person and henchies who doesnt want to respond. Or people who are wondering what the heck other people not in their team are doing in an instance. And I've never found a full hench team let mhenlo/togo die. Its the 1 person + 7 henchies that are the problem.

Some of the better completions I've heard of are when you have 15 henchies (other team is completely AI). Shows how 'good' the average pug is.

Not to mention at least 75% of foreign teams.

While I haven't gotten mastesr with 15 henchmen, I came pretty damn close (minute and a half off).

What I think would be better...

Is if you could resurrect the other team

..and have group affects work on them as well, if they're in range (IE: Aegis and Heal Party).

I successfully did Vizunah on the first try with a pug o.o

Both local and foreign had two monks, local had a ritualist, and both sides had a MM. >.> We actually were running out of bodies for the MMs....

No bugs. the only bad thing was someone didnt skip the cutscene at the end x.x

QFT. Odds of a non-retarded full local team of 8 is 1 in 100. Far too many local teams have multiple players on their team in the lvl 13 to 17 range, run with no energy management on their casters, or have no damage whatsoever. 8 henchmen from local is definately the safe way for a masters team from foreign to ensure they get their reward.

The worst case is one live player from local and 7 henchmen and having the one live player leave right at the beginning. The remaining 7 henchmen just go completely dumb and get wiped and let Togo die in the process before the foreign team has any chance to reach Togo.

A question to ponder: if the other team is all henchies do they actually fight up to the location where you get together or do they just meet you there, which would explain why Mehnlo or Togo are always alive when you meet up?

It doesn't even need for that one live player to leave for the henchies go dumb. Canthan henchies are still trying to get to Tyrian players when they get close enough, meaning the henchies try their best at going through a wall while the afflicted swarm Togo.
