Please change Hero's Titles.

The issues
  • Completing a title takes a lot of time and effort with very little reward.
  • Only one title can be displayed on your character at once, tick one hero's title and another is de-selcted automatically.
Make it better
  • Reward the character for acheiving each hero's title with special items or weapons, this encourages people to complete the titles and gives the game a lasting appeal.
  • Allow more than one title to be visible at once, after all the hard work and effort to acheive them there's nothing better than showing them off to the world.

/signed for the display of multiple titles but it would have to be done in such a way that it doesn't interfere and fully fill your screen when you are in busy towns.

As for the second point. How about having the ability to examine people, you can have a biography as well. It will also tell you all the titles you have.

How about you can chose to any of your titles to be displayed at once, and other people can f11 and chance how many titles they want to see , 0, 1, or all. If you chose to only see 1 you see the one that was checked first by the other person. Like if I clicked Charmed, Conquering Hero, and Grandmaster Cartographer, in that order, you would only see Charmed.

Strongly agree with ability to display all your titles at once. You earned them, so you should be able to display them.

As it stands now, there is entirely no point in a R9 or better getting any other titles because they are all way worse and lower-tiered than "Renowned Hero (9)".

Letting good players display all their titles at once would make having and trying to get all the titles be immensely more fun.

My necro has 7 different titles. I think displaying all of them would be a bit over the top.
And the item idea is just stupid. If having a title is not enough of an incentive for you, don't bother with it.

Navaros, yes most titles are lower-tiered than rank IMO, but I still choose to show off my "Advanced Skill Hunter (3)" in PvE. :P

This would be a better idea. If you could click a character and pop open a window with titles, exp, "biography" and maybe a few other stats, that would be awesome.

A better answer would be Player menus like in final fantasy 11. It could show titles, progression of the titles, exp, Kurzick or Luxon, Auction housed items, armor, etc...

/not signed to everything else, enspecially the items idea. If getting just the title isn't insentive enough, why bother with it in the first place?

Better for it to be over the top than wayyyyyyyyyyy the heck under the top as it is now.

Only being able to display one title at a time is fun-limiting to the polar extreme.

Being able to display all the titles that you earned would be fun-encouraging to the polar extreme.

Fun-encouraging > Fun-limiting.

Though i understand what the OP is aiming at, i would say it wont happen since every implementation that is aim at PvE will have to be balanced for PvP purposes in GW and unless you are gonna be happy with that special weapon with common stats that is easily replicated or maybe has a different colour wording or uncommon skin, otherwise it wont serve its function to encourage players to thrive for those titles. Furthermore it will generate a whole lot of "GW is not about Grind" "Titles=items=Grind" "Skill > Time spent playing to get Titles" sort of threads all over the forums.

In short, other than the PvP component of the game. GW is headed toward Balancing itself to its own grave.

Titles are practically invisible right now. It's not until you select someone and mouse-over them that you see their title.

I would much rather see their title anytime their name is displayed and show _all_ titles a character has earned when they're mouseovered.

This way players could be Lucky, Gladiator, Hero, and Friend of the Luxons or Kurzicks.

Titles are a nice thing to display, but having 10 titles appear under someone's name is simply trying to make their name into a military uniform, with all of the badges and pegs and who-haas attached to it. You display the title that you're most proud of, IMO.
