Still a little new, couple questions

OK, I just started playing Guild Wars last week but caught on to Prophecies pretty quick. Loved it, so I bought Factions as well. But i'm a bit confused by a few things. I know the armo,r shield, and already have the sword I want my char to have. The armor I want to have is 15k Kurzick armor, but i'm still a bit confused on how to get it. The sheild I want, I seen a picture of on here, I think it was an exalted aegis, the shield with the wings. But once again..confused on how to acquire it. Maybe you GW Veterans could help me out.

1.) When starting a Kurzick alliance, in an attempt to get Kurzick Faction, does your guild start it, or your char alone?

2.) How do I actually acquire amber specifically?

3.) How do I get an exalted Aegis? Is it an item from a quest?

And now just some general questions...

1.) What are colored items? Like green items? Purple items? What are they specifically?

2.) Where do I go to start a Kurzick alliance?

If you guys could help me with these questions I would appreciate it greatly and would be in your debt.

It is the reward for beating the last mission of factions, you pick which item from the collectors that are available.

And now just some general questions...

1.) What are colored items? Like green items? Purple items? What are they specifically?

White = normal
Blue = some magic
Purple = better
Gold = best
Green = unique, unchangable items normally dropped by bosses

2.) Where do I go to start a Kurzick alliance?

Guild registrar, emblemer. Or visit our forum and just join our guild.

Thanks for the help! I appreciate it! I'm hoping to be able to get all of the stuff I want soon but the way it's looking it won't happen very soon. lol.

I'm stuck on the mission killing the Celestials and can't seem to find anyone willing to help me, but eventually, i'll finish it and be able to continue with the primary story. Is the primary story long??

In Factions, no, it is fairly quick - depending on your play style. If you like to explore every nook and cranny and complete all quests before advancing to the next area it can take some time.

I'm 3 for 3 on Nahpui, add me (both names, 2 accounts) to your friends list to see when I'm on and I'll guide you through it if I'm not otherwise occupied - which is often! I won't object to another shot at Celestial drops.
