Thristy River run turned bad....

My monk needed a run threw thristy river so I get in a group with these 2 warriors. One does the killing while the other one stays with the group and baby sits them and tells us to stay still. This runner was running for 5k. I acted before we started if i could pay with a ecto. Anyways when he got down to the last boss we all had to pay. I got to pay with my ecto that is worth 7k and Im suppose to get 2k back because the run is only 5k. Well he wouldn't take it from me so I got fed up with him trying to scam me. So i got my cap and left because his service was stupid.

Once I got back to Thristy River. I got whispers from him and his buddy saying I was the scammer. I soon put them both on my ignore list, and got another runner that got me threw the mission and i paid him my 1 ecto and he gave me 2k back.

im srry u scamed me and that u dont think u did but dont use my service to cap your skills with out paying and i wont call u a scammer

This looks to one huge misunderstanding to me. Moose couldn't pay upfront but was able to pay with an ecto, in return for 2k gold (simple math: 7-5=2!).
IMHO, the runners just didn't understand what Moose was trying to do, and didn't know how to respond to his offer.

Also, if you promise a run, then a run is what he's paying for. Anything done during the run is dependent on the person being run, he can kill all monsters he wants for all i know, but that's NOT what he's paying for.

Therefore, no one has been scammed, no one should be reported, and this issue should just be left alone. Moose got his run, the runners should realise they need to study their maths more.

well as i said she should not have used me to cap her skill if she was just goin to run off caping skills is part of the run and part of the payment and the payment was set as 1 ecto nothing else

I dont see the problem here.. all the runs ive been on, peopl do their own thing, we pay for the RUN, not to be told we can't farm, cap skills etc etc.. do what you are paid to do, and leave the payers alone, without them you wouldnt be running anyway!

By you wanting the ecto which is worth 7k, 2k more than the price of the run meant you were trying to "scam" 2k from him. I don't see why you couldn't just give him the 2k and then sell the ecto for 7k.

the runner was greedy he couldnt take his ecto and give him 2k back the guy who wanted to be ran did that right thing. the runner thought yeah 7k but realised he was only gettting five the greedy bastard

he capped so what you didnt finish mission so you expect him to pay 7k for a shitty skill

Look... compare the run with a contract.
Your contract offered a run through the mission (finishing the mission by completing the OBJECTIVES).
Moose accepted these terms for 5k.
Just like in a store, when you buy something that costs 18 dollars, but the client pays 20 dollars, then 2 dollars will be refunded.
You didn't want to refund.

And saying that the capture of the skill was part of the run was NOT in the contract that was made on forehand.

So basically you never ran him through the mission (objectives weren't completed), and you shouldn't get paid for anything, as you were the person that made the contract. (Use 'small letters' in your contract next time if you intend to ask gold for a skill cap, or something.)

No, this wasn't a misunderstanding, this was Super Moose's retarded attempt at framing us. Before the run was started, he asked if he could pay with an ecto, and never made mention of the ecto in exchange for 2k. So, when we get into the run, it came time for payment and he starts asking for 2k in return. If you tell us that you're paying an ecto before the run starts, don't start springing things on us when we're right in the middle of it. I realize that people pay 7k for ectos, and that our run is 5k, but if you expect 2k in return, at least tell us first.

Some of you may see through a different eye than what we did, but we were under the impression that we were receiving an ecto for payment. If he would've said that he wanted 2k in return at the beginning, I'm sure it would've been different.

I applaud you Super for your attempt at making us out to be thieves, but you didn't quite get it. How immature do you get to be a liar? Though it's your word against ours, you've faked your pictures horribly.

Moose never received his run, he never paid his ecto, he just left the game. My cousin and I prefer to have the people that are being run to remain out of sight; it's a privacy thing. Not so much as to conceal our build, it's already available on the internet for Christ's sake, but moreso to just have full control of the situation at hand. Opinions may conflict, and that's fine and well, but it's how we prefer things to be. We tell our people ahead of time and they all agree, so our aggravation when they deviate from that should be expected.

The op was WANTING to pay exactly what they were charging everyone else but the runners/rushers thought they could scare the op into paying 2k more as they knew he/she could not pay the 5k and only had one ecto.

There is no scam because the rushers were being idiots and would not give 2k over. They set out to complete the mission not help people cap skills. The op left as they were being arses and would not stick to the agreement. The op did not receive the agreed service which was completing thirsty river.

Anet wont ban. The op you did the right thing by leaving although capping the skill is questionable. The person saying they did the mission, you wasted your own time from being a complete idiot. Everyone paid 5k so why the hell are you making someone pay 7k. The answer is you knew they could only pay by the ecto and you could force them into paying 2k more through threats of reporting them.

TBH if the OP hasnt got 5k to pay the runner (BTW waaaay overpriced run) he shouldnt ask for 2k back because the runner will have to go to all the trouble of selling the ecto.

You messed up when it came to the payment. Only you and your partner are to blame. The op was more than willing to pay the 5k price everyone else paid. He did not scam you as skill capping is not mission rushing.

Capping a skill does not get the mission done. You wasted his time. You could have easily gave him 2k and would have got the 5k payment from him. You did not attempt to haggle in the slightest maybe 1.5k due to ecto prices changing. Making him pay 7k while everyone pays 5k is outrageous.

You have only yourself to blame. There would be no problem if you tried to come to some kind of arrangement.

Offered item to pay for run: 1 glob of ectoplasm
Estimated value of said item: 7k
Difference between said item and cost of run = 7k-5k = 2k

Please explain why this was worth creating so much drama over. If you had just taken the ecto and given 2k you would have 5k more, moose would have his run, you woulnd't have made an idiot out of yourself on the forums, and lfie would go on quite merrily.
