Mantra of Flame

Does anyone have any idea why mantra of flame doesn't work. i was trying if i could farm hydras with my Ritualist but and the meteor and fireball does 63 damage orso and with mantra of flame on me it still does the same damage i have 12 points in inspiration so mantra of flame should reduce the fire damage by 45% but it doesn't even reduce it by any %, is this skill now broken by one of the many updates? or is there anything else broken. please does anyone know anything about this?

yeah I agree, those mantra fire, cold etc suck. They need to fix them, elemental resistance owns all of them combined.

not true, Mantra of Lightning makes farming lightning drakes a breeze.

Whether or not they "owned" wasn't the question, he says that the skill is broken and isnt reducing his dmg.

I tested Mantra of Lightning, and It works was advertised - so if its a glitch its in Mantra of Flame only.

Think you could have been getting the reduce and just THOUGHT you weren't getting it?

I have found that using the elemental resistance when solo farming hydras at Ember Light works better than mantra of flame, for me at least. I also have a shield that offers armor against fire. Using shield and elemental resistance sure helps there.

Mantra of flame is working appropriately for me.

Not saying those Mantra flame, lightning, etc dont work, they just suck, period, when compared to elemental resistance. I use to run to chests in Ice Floe from that 15K armor place (i forget) and bunch ice imps, did 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 to me and RARELY 1,(1/60), I saw like 15 0s around my name, then mind freeze, as long as I kept moving they rarely used 17 damage maelstorm on me. When I tried Mantra of Frost, I saw like 1 0 2 3 2 1 2 1 0, and adding all of em equals like a maelstorm, and happened each second so, yeah, I tried mantra, not really that cool, havent looked at it in while but it has like fair to low resistance to whatever, and gives energy I think, dont think its worth it, rather never get hurt and have no energy gain. I think if ANET ever makes a better/ elite elemental resistance with more, I can bet you 95% chance that will be used for a farming build.
