When are we getting updates?

There are still many things broken in the game and parts that need improving.

I heard that they were posponing updates until the championship is over so that it wouldn't interfere with such an large event. Can anyone confirm this?

They don't update Skills during the finals and tournaments, so it doesn't change the metagame in the middle of a tournament.

Bug fixes and such happen as they fix them.

We'll get updates when ANet makes more updates.

Kinda goes like this:

They will put bug fixes out ASAP when bugs are found.
Things that need to be improved will be released after all the pending bugs are fixed.
Skill balances will come out after championship.
Free stuff comes out when they feel like it (it's free).
Things that aren't broken don't need fixing.

Sometimes even the big stuff gets missed for a while because of season+annual championships.
