Green Items and the Droppage

if u see a boss wielding the green item he drops does that mean he willl drop it if u kill him?.. and if he isnt wielding the item is there a chance that he willl drop it?

A few updates back bosses always wield their green weapon... they just dont drop it every time.

What update says that. In my personal experience Bosses only wield their weapons eometimes. I have been on alot of BP runs in Sorrows lately and none the bosses don't always wield their weapons. But I have noticed they will only drop their weapon if they are wielding it, but they still may not drop it even if they are wielding it.

It didnt say that in any update... and its only in cantha as far as I know... Probably because of the way Sskai was being farmed... 'Look at his sword, if he is wielding it he will drop it'.. Worked the first few days when I farmed him... new update and suddenly he always has the same sword in his hand. Just so the 'look and farm' trick wouldnt work anymore.

Well bosses in Cantha also don't always wield their item either.

IT doesnt really mean they will. Whenever i farm rajazan he is always holding a wicked blade. But once in a while he will be holding his sword, and it will drop. Other bosses will always be holding their weapon, Ex. Sskai, Geoffer, and Merki, but they dont always drop the green item they have.

Yup thats true... Rajazan has always been holding a wicked blade and a wand when I was farming him. Some bosses are wielding their own weapon more often or even always than others. But as I said... its just to make it confusing wether or not they actually have the weapon or that it will be best to stop the run and rezone. That was the whole point of my post, you can never be certain if the weapon will drop. But some bosses (as the forementioned Rajazan) will drop their weapon when you can see the visual weapon, if for some unlucky reason he will drop a standard broadsword :P

Heres a little tip to increase greens dropping: Usually a boss will drop their green the first or second time you kill them if you haven't been farming previously. If the boss refuses to drop, do a mission or something pvp-related and come back later. Its better than farming the boss 30+ times and him/her not dropping the green. I went on a green spree and got 4 greens in about an hour (rajazan fervor, strongroots shelter, chkkrs flatbow, sskai's sword). Hope this helps!

Merki does indeed drop his shield on occasion, I've bad touched my way to 3 now. I usually pull and kill the carps at the shrine, then run to a safe spot along the north wall just west of Merki's and the two outcast groups. Pull and kill the nearest outcast group (you can ignore the other), Then either take out his group or just pull him out, you'll notice sometimes Merki will patrol seperately from his group...
He always looks like he's wearing his shield, but thats because its the standard skin for outcast shield, so you'll just have to roll the dice and kill him.

wow never thought of using a touch ranger ty :and wats that wammo build?

a lot of ppl want to solo Merki, but I've duo'ed him a bunch. It goes a lot faster, and it's safer too. Plus it's nice having a friend along instead of being by yourself.

I did communing rit and echo ss'er. Throw down the spirits and pull the outcasts to them.

Me and my friend were farming some Rhea's Crater area, milthuran I just dont pay attention, Arius is too hard to see (but we got his daggers twice). And then Lorelle jade cutter who we killed at least 15 times when it looked like she had the bow and nothing.

so i gave that touch ranger a whirl and i can kill every1 but merki himself cuz when i get him down to about 1/2 hp he uses executioners strike and he kills me like instantly..my build btw is--Touch --Bite--OoB--Life Siphon--thrw dirt--dodge -- whirling--and zojuns haste-
my attributes are

12 blood
16 exp (sup rune +head gear0
so dodge/ zojuns give me 76% chance to block for 11 secs and whirling lasts for 21 secs with the 75% chance to block
and thrw dirt lasts for 16 secs
