Search is working now.
Inde
We completed the server maintenance and search should all be set and enabled now. If the load becomes high, yes it will automatically disable, but I'm not expecting this to happen. Today is the test and we'll see during peak times what will happen... but rejoice in this small favor.
awesome sauce
Good work.

So now the mods won't believe me when I say that I tried to search but it was down. Now I'll need to watch what I post .

Well done, thanks. It truly helps.

Please turn it off again. The forums are barely usable again. 75% database error rate on mouse clicks.

It's been happening to me most of the day. Posting was virtually a lost cause. It's a bit better now, but personally I'd rather have functional forums over a working search.

Noted, I will talk to the server admin. Seems like this just started today. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Inde, just a quick question. It seems that searches are now being queued to improve speed and server load. I was wondering if that applies to mods also? There may be cases where mods need to have access to the most recent search results? Thanks.
Inde
milias,
Here's a little bit of info on that. The search is always enabled for admins and moderators and always has been. Now please people, don't scream at us for this. It is a top priority to ensure this is working a 100% for our members. I know the frustration that some feel, especially in the Sell forums, with not being able to find a recent thread of yours or trying to find a post you've bid on and more.

I'll second this, for a period of time today after saving an edited post the database error would appear where the post was.
