Anet is a... (survivor title)
Combat_chuck
I sent an e-mail to support and instead of just answering my quetion they wasted my time and theirs and explained why they couldn't answer the question and that i should ask it on a forum (if they don't know how is anyone else goign to know?). What i e-mailed them about is that on new chars that I'm making my survivor title track never appears. No i havn't died, yes my /deaths command says zero. It worked fine on my first factions char that i made but now it wont work on any new chars i make...whats the deal?

They told ya to use the forums...
See, you got your answer in the forums :O
And the replied to your question in that way, because they simply can't be arsed to answer such minor questions, and bloody hell, you can get such answers in game.

Ask on forums or in-game first, ask ANet only as a last resort. They ARE trying to make chapter 3 you know.

It would've taken far less effort to answer the question instead of making some overinflated "don't ask us" response....
Haggard
They didnt make it, they simply press one of their 5 auto-response buttons.

Those lil' questions can be easily asked on forums like this, or using a quick little search.
levortex
what do you mean with that survivor title?? do you get a title if you are lvl 5 or higher and never died???
Gonzo
No.
The track appears from level 5, you get the title if you've become level 20 and have 0 deaths. After that, you need a whole lot of XP for the next level of the title, or you die and keep your first level with no change in maxing it out.

Chuck dear, if you were a big game company, and someone asked for help on the game, something as small as that, would you waste your time looking for the answer?.. you should have come here in the first place.

Hun I feel your pain... I ended up reporting someone last night (with every single detail down to time, district, and so forth) and the GM responded with:
If you will give us the time and date and so forth...
I was just...
. . . And people wonder why I don't usually call on support for anything. They USUALLY cannot answer my questions or they ask me to repeat everything 3times before it gets across. *sighs*

I must be one of the few that has my inquiries resolved accurately and without fuss. *shrug*

I think what Anet is attempting to do by redirecting people with such questions to the forums is build a stronger community. They have always responded to the community, and some read the boards themselves. They even have someone for community relations (Gaile)! I have never heard of another game with someone designated just to keep in touch with the community.
And, at least they did tell you to ask on a forum. I have recieved many a message from many a support dept. stating that they simply cannot help me with the issue, and don't even suggest asking anywhere else.
