Question about Factions

I have prochesies, and I'm wondering several things:

1) Are there any announced up-comming expansions that will expand upon factions, making it pointless to buy factions now?

2) Is factions a complete version of the game, allowing for both prophecies + factions to be played, or is it only an expansion and requires you have prophecies first?

3) If it is a complete verison, is there soley an expansion that is available cheaper so I dont have to spend $50 on a game that will contain mostly the exact same content I already have?

4) Can I play the factions campaign on a character already well into the prophecies campaign?

1) Are there any announced up-comming expansions that will expand upon factions, making it pointless to buy factions now?

Nope... no expansions to Factions. Just updates.

2) Is factions a complete version of the game, allowing for both prophecies + factions to be played, or is it only an expansion and requires you have prophecies first?

Factions is a complete standalone version of the Factions storyline. You can play both Factions and Prophecies separately. Or, if you merge the accounts, (1 logon for both chapters), then you can take your Tyrian characters into Cantha and vice versa through Lion's Arch (prophecies) or Kaineng Center (Cantha); not to mention 2 more slots for new characters.

3) If it is a complete verison, is there soley an expansion that is available cheaper so I dont have to spend $50 on a game that will contain mostly the exact same content I already have?

Nope... no pure "expansion pack". You will have to shell out the full $50 if you want this one. This game can stand alone and much of the content in the Factions chapter does not exist in Prophecies (new weapons, skills, henchmen, armor and so on).

4) Can I play the factions campaign on a character already well into the prophecies campaign?

Yep... (see answer to #2). Prophecies characters can go to cantha and vice versa.

So Prophecies can't be played unless you buy that version, or is it included with factions? If so I feel better, if not I feel very bad for buying prophecies.

Prophecies is a standalone game just like factions. If you buy factions, You ONLY get factions.

Ok well that makes more sense.

I suppose once I get bored with prophecies I'll pick up factions or whatever new chapter may be released by then. Thank you for answering my questions.
