But I think it should be a different type of VoD. The GvG version is nice and all, but in RA, if a match lasts too long, I think we should get some BWE Finale chaos. Gwens, the Wurms, Gnomes, etc. It'd be amazing. Figure it'll be random as to which VoD you receive, and it'd only be one (as in, either Gwen, a Wurm, etc).
In fact, I think that should happen in both RA and TA.
And it would cut down on grief running, too, because I don't see many people able to run from/stand up to a Wurm or Gwen. ^_^

the past 2 days i've been doing ta with guild and we always seem 2 come across a team of w/mo using a healing ball or a team of runners.

Wasting 2 hours on a random arena match is irrelevant here. The fact that it's even possible to do so says that something needs to be changed so that it can't happen.
Hopefully it will stop all the useless running and useless self healing tank no damage builds.
EDIT: The above comment isnt directed at anyone here... I just see too many matches drag on when they shouldnt because of those mentioned builds.

After 30 minutes, everyone suffers -1 health and energy degeneration, all speed boosts are nullified (no more runners), and everyone loses 100 health every 60 seconds after VoD begins (no 55 HP tanking), no matter what. Fight or die where you stand.

RA/TA needs this. AoD sins are the worse at this. You can usually body block a runner and kill him. With AoD and dark escape its impossible if they want to run to stop them.
Bringing a snare in RA is not the answer. Your build might not have it and you don't know what your teammates are going to have. That argument holds no water.
I say that after 10 minutes who ever has the most players alive wins.

haha...This is VERY true...because it actually happened to me once and I was the boon prot, same build as OP...

seriously VoD needs to be in RA. i've been in hour long matches too (i would quit but i'm usually on my 9th or 10th consecutive). since its RA VoD should probably start at 20 minutes.

As far as I'm concerned, 15 minutes should be plenty for VoD. At that point, nullify all speed boosts etc. and put the GvG VoD effects on. Or, find something more rewarding and less immaturity-ridden than RA.

Just leave once a match goes over 20 minutes, it's not worth the time for just 25 factions.

It's not fair to expect two remaining classes to fight one vs one. What if one of them is not a "fighting class"? Why should he lose his glad point just because he is not? His team killed 3 of the enemy, just like they did to him. So it's even. He should not be penalized for being unable to kill an enemy of a fighting class whilst the fighting class gets rewarded simply for happening to be a fighting class.

I once fought a warrior, who ran around like a jackass for 4 hours and 30 minutes. My group had their team beat, and I was pissed he was griefing us. I hurled a million insults at him. In the end he had to go to the store, and I won. /flex

the simplest solution is to make random arena timers run down rather than up. if you havent defeated the enemy by the time the timer runs down, you both lose. i think 10 minutes is sufficient enough time. thoughts? :P

10-15 minutes in you get a minion-style degen: Every 15 seconds once VoD starts you get a pip of degen until your maxed out, but this could still be abused.

Then the idiot running around might be at full health, but if you've got 1-2 people on your team you would win. And likewise if you were running around with 2-3 major/sup runes you would still count the same as someone with none. In the event of a tie, don't count it as a win or lose, and have BOTH team go on to face a new team.

No RA/TA game should go over 10 minutes,especially when the other team has multiple monks.(God I hate it when your team has a monk and their team has two,its basicly going to be a draw.)
