No Ele
Sarek
It has come to my attention that all Prophecies characters all have gods tied to their professions. But there is no Elementalist god. I thought it would be good to give something to us Elementalist fanatics to pray to. Just a thought. The statue could look like the Female elementalist when she casts a spell (with her arms in the air). And when america has favor could be on fire with a red, blue, yellow flame (for each type of spell). When you kneel in front of the statue the spirit that come up should be made of the Elements. Just a thought from a Ele fanatic that loves everything about an Ele.

Grenth - Necromancer
Balthazar - Warrior
Melandru - Ranger
Dwayna - Monk
Lyssa - Mesmer

Elementalists revere no specific deity based on profession because every god has an associated element. Thus they're all elementalist deities.

Like how is Dwayna related to air? Or how is Melandru related to earth more than to water? And what does fire have to do with Balthazar?
The only relationship I see being sensible is Grenth<->Cold, since many necromancer spells deal cold damage and UW is all kinda frozen for the most part.

Prophecies Guide book
- Page 48 lines 5-6 "Is the favored god of rangers and earth elementalists"
- Page 46 lines 5-6 (Dwayna Section) "Her followers are mainly healing monks and elementalists specializing in air magic"
- Page 46 lines 1 (Balthazar section) "The god of war and fire"
And finnaly
- Page 47 line 4 (Grenth section) "death and ice"
However.... i do not believe energy storage is lyssa related but something without a god.

some quotes from the manual:
Dwayna:
Her followers are mainly healing monks and elementalists specializing in air magic...
Balthazar:
Balthazar is often worshipped by warriors and elementalists, thought there are monks who have been known to follow his scriptures are well.
Grenth:
Necromancers learn early that the way to true power is by bowing down at the foot of the god of death and ice and pledging total, undying allegiance.
Melandru:
The godess of earth and nature, Melandru is favored god of Rangers and earth elementalists.
The Lyssa and energy storage can be debatable. Its true that mesmers are the true class that controls energy (look at various Lyssa skills), but i dont know if its truly canon, at least not that i have in front of me now.

give a good reason why ele's should have only one god instead of four? It's not like Anet took a gaze at ele's and said "oh, last profession remaining... ok... hmmm... nope, nope, nope, nope./... ah screw it, we'll just give them four gods" Four elements, four gods, seems reasonable.
Now if you're looking for an energy storage god, you also have lyssa
I remember reading somewhere that the ele is the only class that doesnt bow to any one god because magic was given to all races. elementalists harnessed this magic, and their magical aptitude and study of lore makes them powerful without having to bow down to them. In association with eles actually bowing to the gods, think of it more as a reason to gain just a little bit of edge, rather than actually being faithful to a particular god. They left Tyria, remember?

hmmmm
could be an ele god too, but assassin and ritualist then
ritualist could have the sun god or some kind of a mix between humans and animal god, the avatar would be a huge rt spirit
assassin could get some kind of sneaky god, like a sneaky animal as panther and avatar could be eyes in a shadow cloud on the size of lyssa's muse
ele could have a male god i think, since there's more female gods now and the avatar could be a stone/ice elemental or something.

I believe this is unfair...
Yes, every God has an associated element, but there is not a solid point that states "Elementalist follow this god.". I feel it sort of makes a mockery of the Elementalist, stating that they are separated and dislike those that follow other elements.
Now, every other class has seperate attributes, as well as the Elementalist. Let's take a Warrior for example: Axe Mastery, Hammer Mastery, Swordsmanship, Strength, and Tactics. They don't have a seperate God for each attribute, and neither does any other class, because they follow one God according to their profession. This just doesn't seem right to me, again subtly referring to seperation between the class.
Also, it makes the Elementalist seem undervalued and/or underappreciated, and for those of us who play an Elementalist character, that's simply and utterly demeaning, because we understand how valuable they can be in some situations.
Most of you are probably reading this and are thinking that I am completely off my rocker, and here's another viewpoint for those who think that:
It is possible that Elementalists have no God because they evolved from simpler magicians. Perhaps a Mesmer or a Necromancer was attempting to execute a skill, and somehow ended up arousing the Elements instead of performing the skill they were attempting. For example, say a Smiting Monk was attempting to use Spear of Light, but instead ended up calling a burst of lighning from the sky. This would somewhat explain why the Elementalists have no specific God, and would clarify why every existing God is attatched to an element.
Just a thought..

RODGORT! AND THE DRAGON COMES IN THE NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!
sorry, I had to do it. But if they made Rodgort into a god, that would be very cool. I'd love to see the statue.

Fire Ele: Balthazar
Water Ele: Grenth
Earth Ele: Melandru
Air Ele: Dwayna
Energy Storage: Lyssa (Lyssa is the god of manipulation and dominance of energy from my point of view, so as eles have the highest energy possible, almost all eles should revere her/them - are they on or two in one? - a bit)
Also, eles are imo the most versatile profession. Think about it: tanking, spiking, AoE damage, speed manipulation, blinding, knockdown, all you want.

I would agree with the general consensus. I am primarily an Elementalist first and foremost and don't really think elementalists need a god for a boost. Since elementalists can fill so many rolls... having the 5 gods represent the five facets of the elementalist is probably for the best. To people that say this makes the elementalist under appreciated i will have to respectfully dissagree. This would mean that the elementalist is the keystone to the panthenon (sp?) and therefore holds a place of exaltment.
