I personally don't mind at all that you don't have millions upon millions, and having 0 ecto isn't something to be ashamed of. Just that most of the screens I've seen where things are blanked out, is because it's to hide something bad. You have nothing to worry about, Anet found that the average player had 25k on their account

Last I heard they sold for 250g to the rare material trader and do not replenish.. sounds like a bug to me

I second the dye storage....my hubby's account has those stored up, though he is happy now that he can put some of his materials in there as well......he gave me his rubys and sapphires a while ago since I gave him all the dye (seemed like a wise exchange since rubies and sapphires only take up 2 spots, there are what 8 dyes?)....so I have them in storage as well as my first ecto in about 8 months (he was also getting those since he had the only character between us that wanted fow armor....though my mes would like the boots now).
We are thinking of getting 250 of everything as well.....have a good start on the silk and fur .....silk from spider webs and fur from char hides.......and the parchment is coming up with all the wood I have been getting recently........but since I am broke (still need to get end game armor for 2 characters) it will be sometime before I can join the 250 club (and never will join the 1000plat....dont play THAT much).
