Factions Pre-Order still for sale??

Today I found 2 differend copies of GW Factions in a computer game store: One of them was the 'normal' edition, for 43 euro. The other was the Pre-Order edtion for only 25 euro. I wonder if its still possible to install the pre-order because I remember some had troubles about getting the permanent product key (and this shop was in a town I passed on a train trip).

As far as I know, the pre-order packs will just have a CD full of artwork etc and the pre-order code, which should get you the pre-order weaps (Poisonous Dragon Fangs of Dagger Mastery and Insightful Spiritbinder... not too great, but the upgrades can be replaced). It was only online pre-orders that allowed you into the Preview event (If you didn't have Prophecies already) and the head-start/Day of the Tengu, which have since passed.

It wasn't just the online preorders that gave you acces to the events (which are now over). I bought my preorder from a store and I was able to do the events just fine. The preorder pack is sort of a waste now because the only thing you will get will be the preorder weapons, and I stoped using my ritualist one before I even left the island (I don't know if the assassin one is any good because I have never made an assassin so far).

So you get the pre-order weapons. But don't you get a fully working account? Or do you have to pay another 44 bucks for a cd-key to activate it. That is the part that confuses me.

no.. you get a full accout,, weapons are added everytime you make a new character.. although I wonder if the key will still be valid

I saw pre-orders discs for 10 cents at a Best Buy today.
