Ok, I think it has finaly gone far enough with upgrades, nerfs, "oops'" and what not.....
Since the day I bought the game (13 months ago) every minute ive played 3,022 HOURS!) all i have done is defend anet and back up their decisions... when the servers were all down for 8 hrs or whatever when they accidently dropped all prices, i stood by them and waited patiently...... now, i feel at wits end with it.....
Lets take a walk down memory lane on a few things that were once here and such, that now are not, things added or modified in game....
1) Few months back, axes that could hold 2 grips, some ppl lost alot of money, some ppl didnt... axes were in circulation for about 1 week, anet fixed them... i was ok with that, 1 week, fast and to the point, and i agreed it was over powering...
2) Drop rates of gold weapons and runes - good cause lets everyone have some access to them, bad cause alot of us put money and effort into times.... now, its ruining the market, there is no way to make good cash, and why spend even 1k on an item, if it will be 500g or nerfed in 2 days.... i say, slow down drop rate and let us make alittle money!!!!
3) Farming locations - you go out to try to make money, and after a few times you get no more drops.... or no drops that are worth your time, so no way to make cash
4) Collector items - totaly trashing market..... rare skins r only item worth anything now.... i say, keep them, but make them all look the same, and make them a plain skin, like great axe or such....
5) Keys for chests - use to just beable to open them, for free... now you have to pay 600g or such... at first, i though it was cool, but now, with gold items droppen like candy from a pinata (provided that area isnt farmed or its a major mission), only real point is to get the title....
6) Green items - perfect items that bosses drop, very usefull..... but, first step in ruining gold items... they are cool, but ruined the market in the game and why make a green item that is useless.... i say reduce drop rate!
7) Skills - some good some bad, like how they try to keep some charicters from being overpowered and others from being underpowere.... love how they change them to keep it fair, fully supportive!
8) Shields and defensive items - some mods and changes i love, 60 hp w/hexed, -5 dmg 20% time, but, a tank is a tank, they can take a beating, -2 dmg vs anything items make alot of sence to me, so does superiour absorbtion -3 dmg vs anything....so why would they make it only against certain types of dmg????? WTB ICY AXE HAFTS!!!!! price bound to sky rocket! where r the shields that are -2 dmg vs ele dmg...
9) Modifying armor penitration and such - 10/10 was perfect, worth alot of cash and awsome..... 20/20 came out, worth it, i love it.... they adjusted the greens and such,... But, if you can take my perfect gold -2 -2 shield, and add the physical damage -2 only to it, why cant they make my perfect 10/10 sundering that i invested alot of money and time in getting, into 20/20????
10) Fire Wand - no idea what fetish with it was, but faster attack speed on a wand doesnt matter to me much
11) Keg farming - tank build charicter holds keg or gear and gets all agro, good for small team farming, but alittle excisive.... ppl farming this way were making decent cash and doing it quickly...... now all party has to defend self and such, not bad if they r nerfing farming
12) Rockmolder - 20% recharge all skills, they have nerfed out alot of stuff over the last 7 months, when the item first came out, it wasnt that big of a deal to most ppl, only valued at like 100k.... why on earth would they wait 7 months, everyone thought it was here to stay, but nooooooooooo
WHY ARE THESE STILL AROUND???
1) Firey Flame Spliter - 15%.... its been here for EVER! worth over 1million gold.... does all the anet employes run these or somethen, cause they should have been gone... i mean 20% rockmolder is to much, how isnt 15% on an axe?????
2) Candy Canes - removes all dp in pve.... only worth 1k or less, but green farmers use them alot
3) -50 Offhand 55 hp monk / necro / anything build.... been here for ages, basicaly the backbone to solo build..... solo, farming, things anet is trying to get rid of.... wonder why its still here?????
I am trying to figure out why anet does some things and not others.... if they r trying to bring all items to same level and squish the market, why not let collectors sell everything perfect for like 100g each, make black dyes under 1k, runes top out at 1k each, crap. Wait, why not start all charicters with perfect weapons, lvl 20 if they are already going this far?????
I am waiting for them to drop the armor on my warrior, right now all he is is a slow attacking assasin with alittle more armor and looks like he is on steriods....
Ok, now im sure alot of posts are going to go on "stop crying, u waisted the money to buy it, its ur own fault, blah blah blah" to you all, i say, why should i have to worry about checking the updates every day to see if i need to go spend another 200k (example) to go buy the newest updated mods (20/20)for my items, just for them to get nerfed out in a week, when i cant do anything to farm cash?
My view is that anet is trying to get more ppl to play when every day, but i see more ppl, who have been dedicated to game leaving cause of nerfage and updates. 7 months for them to finaly adjust the rockmolder, -2 phys damage that have been here forever.....
We need to be reinbursed for things, or adjust all items (10/10 sundering), so that the game is even, isnt that the goal, equality.....
I am one of many many ppl i have talked to who feel the same way.... plz leave your thoughts and discussions....

The -dmg mods is what lets the war do his job. I can get a monks armor up to 90AL with just armor. Every class can acheive the same armor rating as a war can but they are not on the front lines AT ALL TIMES and do not overextend like wars do. Frenzy and healing sig just got nerfed without even being touched. No way you can use these now. Frenzy is gone so we are down to flurry for adrenaline building. Tiger stance for spiking. TF might even make a splash into GvG. Without healing sig wars have no good self heals.
They just completely killed wars in any form of pvp play. How about we take away AoD and see how well a Sin can do his job. Assassins just took over the wars job.
If you need to nerf any entire proffession just to make another work don't make the damn thing in the first place. Every profession has that little something that makes it unique. Wars was their armor. Now I can get better armor on every other class in the game. Why the hell should I use a war now? Str isn't anything special. Hell I can get more armor pen from other skills and sundering and they don't stack with str to begin with.

The collector Fire Wand from outside Nolani was nerfed because adrenaline warriors used it PvP for quick adrenal build-up and for trappers.
-50 Cesta is unlikely to be nerfed because such a huge proportion of GW players use it. Nerf it and Chapter 3 will be covered with tumbleweed... nothing to to with the arid theme.

Ok so what about PVE? There is about the same ratio of people playing PVP to people playing PVE or more slightly towards PVE. So why do they nerf mass amounts of PVE items.. but If you make a PVP char', you can have items from the bat with certain skills that are hard to obtain on PVE items.. and there is no insentive in making a Campaign char into a PVP char', since they are nerfing Rockmolder and such..So I understand that many PVP things were changed also (skills and what not) but PVE is taking a big hit.. Please leave thoughts about this also.. along with Max Gladius comments also.

2. Collector items are doing exactly what they should, and they don't really even have variety in skin. The PvE economy can burn in hell, if people think collector items are effecting anything more than since release.
3. Chests were gold sinks from the start, are currently gold sinks, and will always be gold sinks.
4. Greens are supposed to be easily-found items to help the casual gamer obtain perfect weapons. Don't blame people for taking the cheap way out, instead of paying for perfect golds that look like shit anyway.
5. The armor/-damage changes don't really change anything. Everyone always had an elemental weapon on swap for warriors, and PvE isn't hard enough for it to matter.
6. The 20% Rockmolder was an accident. It was never ment to be in the game with the stats it had, and it was properly changed to be more balanced. The 15% FFS and HoD items were different in that they weren't accidents, but they were later removed for whatever reason Anet had.
The update changed very little that mattered in respect to PvP or PvE. Skill upates, armor updates, etc. were all fairly uninteresting this time around, so there really isn't a need for these multiple topics over nothing. >.>

Just to note the "market" was doomed from the start anyway - any market that uncontrollably produces its own money will suffer from what's happened to GW's market. This is (one reason) why there are taxes, governments, financial institutions and so on to control and regulate markets and money supply in the real world. That's lacking in GW "market" so it's bound to go pear shaped, regardless.
The gold sinks etc. are just attempts to patch up a model that was faulty from the start really.

Assassins are more powerful that wars can ever hope to be. I cannot believe that the whiners are winning with the decision making. I'm all for suggestions and such but not to the point where a profession cannot do its job.

Making damage reduction to only include physical may not make sense when you think about it, but it wont ruin warriors or decrease their popularity. Making damage reduction to only include physical may not make sense when you think about it, but it wont ruin warriors or decrease their popularity. SWG had a great population before all of the nerfs . After the changes players left...it happens in a lot of online games - changes get made that change the original playing concept and people will leave.

Every class can acheive the same armor rating as a war can but they are not on the front lines AT ALL TIMES and do not overextend like wars do. Frenzy and healing sig just got nerfed without even being touched. No way you can use these now. Frenzy is gone so we are down to flurry for adrenaline building. Tiger stance for spiking. TF might even make a splash into GvG. Without healing sig wars have no good self heals. |

I think people here on Guru are overreacting, and are talking as if there warriors won't be able to do anything. They will be, just wait and see. The warrior forums will still be filled with farming builds, and I don't see a change in the PvP scene either of warriors that can't do their job.

Ok, with absorbtion, shields, and knights/ascalon armor only reducing physical dmg, lets see how much you would lose to a fireball, as suggested before:

Wow, jolly jee, anywhere from 6-8dmg extra from non-physical damages, which in the overall thick of things in pve, in close to nothing. Archers/Warriors do the most damage in PvE to your group, and guess what they do physical. And as for casters, they do mostly degen, which dmg reduction doesnt affect. Go cry about your few points of dmg elsewhere.
As for pvp, the warriors that are buying elemental mods, will have the same advantage to take vs eachother.

The -50 cesta isnt necessary to farm with the 55 monk skills as a low health of whatever can be achieved with dp and jiggering about with health mods. So removing it wont stop anything. The FFs is not needed now either as the totem axe works just fine. I believe they will get changed/ removed , but it wont prevent that skill set being used for farming
