Me and 2 of my friends have come up with a small group we simply call The Assassin Trio. We dedicate tons of our time to:
-Creating, editing, and perfecting builds for each and every circumstance/situation/map/game/counter.
-Showing people that all Assassins aren't just stupid "AoD in at the beginning of a game and do an extremely generic extremely counterable combo and being killed within 10 seconds of doing it without getting anything accomplished but your team getting a disadvantage and probably losing" newbs who have no idea what they're doing. We show people the true Assassin potential, what they can really do in battle.
-In general, having fun as a sort of Assassin spike group for TA. We have our own vent server.
-1v1ing one another since we're all fairly evenly matched, this is also helps with getting builds right.
We've decided to branch out and make us a sort of club, with a group of people dedicated to doing all of these things. We got our very first "member" today, a very good Assassin who's awesome at counters. She is currently the only officer. This is NOT a guild. It's simply a group of people. The ranks of power are like a guild's: the 3 equal leaders are me and my 2 friends, the officers have the power to see if someone is worthy to be tested by 1-3 of the leaders, and the members are simply...members.
In order to join, they must be tested at least lightly by at least 1 of the 3 leaders. The test varies, and will be explained by whoever is giving it. It may involve a 1v1, it may involve a 1v1 where you tell 4 of your skills, but not the other 4, it may be a TA match to see how they react. It can be anything the leader wants. But the point is, they must prove themselves.
I will say once more that this is NOT a guild. Obviously, guilds come first, but whenever we can, we try to do TA, test lots of builds, 1v1 eachother for fun, recruit in some places, whatever we want. I'd say the main thing we focus on is getting the "perfect" build for any situation. Know you're up against X? Then you should use the build that involves Y, Z, A, and B! Things like that.
