A question about the shields

I have seen shields that have 2X dmg reduction mods like

-2dmg w/stance & -2dmg w/enchanted or
-3dmg w/hex & -2dmg w/stance

However, is it possible to have combination like 20% -5dmg + -2dmg w/stance ?

no, that combination is not possible.

There are 4 different damage reduction mods for shields, and you can only have one of them on any given shield. But, those damage reduction numbers do stack with Knight's armor and an Absorption rune.

-2(en)/-2(stance) shields are/were acutally very popular. as were -2(en or stance)/-3(hex) ones.

As I said, that combination is not possible. A shield can have any one of the following damage recduction mods on it:

-2 while in a stance
-2 while enchanted
-3 while hexed
-5 (20% chance)

VGJustice, a shield CAN have more than one. People HAVE them. They exist.

...snap. You're right, lactatemike. Looks like the stance and enchant mods don't stack, but the others can.

Ok, I take back what I said. I'd check the Buy and Sell forums here. Maybe someone has one they'd be willing to part with.
