Nothing much you can do about it. Other than wait a minute or two, and try again. Happens every now and then...
Dunno if it's because of server load, or somesuch. Just gotta live with it.

Former Ruling
Yes, I noticed this got REDICULOUSLY Common this last day....I seriously can't browse more than 2 pages without hitting today. (and when it hits, I sometimes have to refresh and try to load again 5+ times to get the page).
This is much more common then it has been in the past.

All right, the server admin has contacted me and he's aware. He was on vacation (I know... how DARE he have a life ) but we'll see what we can do to better this situation.

In the mean time emptying the temp folder helps out

Too much server load i think. Perhaps you could visit a site sponsor while you wait.

All right, sql connections have been upped. Server restart. Let's see how much this helps.

I am getting a lot of these error messages as well as several times a day messages that the page cannot be displayed. A lot of lag trying to access posts and replying.

The error messages seem to have gone away but there still seems to be a lot of lag on the forums.. i can't edit posts because of the lag i drop and it says could not connect... sometimes it runs smoothly but for the most part the forums seem to run very slow like im on 56k or try to connect 3 minutes before loading a page.

I tend to have lag/connection issues no matter if I'm at home or work. I also try using Mozilla and IE, though it seems I can only bearably surf using Mozilla. This is the message I get often:
The connection has timed out
The server at www.guildwarsguru.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I can only assume it's a "too much traffic" issue, but the thing is, I just now got this message, at 2:29am EST, and there's not nearly as much traffic now as there is during the day. So I just don't get it.
On a good note, I have noticed the Search working 99% of the time. That's a huge plus. Thanks, Inde!
BTW: I try to click all the ads I can get my mouse on. Supporting you the best way I can (since I am broke)!
