Compromise with Absorption : Ideas

I feel that Anet shouldnt have changed ALL absorption to physical damage. I understand changing the game rules to give it a new feeling, however i feel that the change was too drastic. My ideas here are sort of a compromise between nerfing Absorption completely and still giving the game a freshness and new tactics/way of play.
Knights/Ascalon = VS Physical
Minor/Major/Superior Runes = VS All Damage
-2 (While in Stance) = VS Physical Damage
-2 (While Enchanted) = VS Elemental Damage
-5(20%) = VS All Damage
-3 (While Hexed) = VS All Damage

Runes are obviously magical items. So absorbing all damage seems to make more sense to me.
Stances are generally a physical action, while enchantments are obviously magical. I dont understand how a shield that activates on magic can NOT repel elemental stuff.
The two weaker shield mods, -5 and -3 are buffed to all damage because they arent as usable as the other two.

Anet has a problem with ODing people.
You have to do things like this in small doses. Otherwise you overshoot what you were trying to accomplish and leave unbalances in the game that will not change for another SEASON.
