Why should a tyrian born low lvl char be excluded from the materials storage tab on a linked account? Sure I could get run to lions and sure I could shuffle things in and out from a canthanable char but why should this be needed? At least fix this in a guild hall but really the added storage should be account based not this lame 50g per char in a specific location.

to avoid any misunderstanding that it is Cantha only

*BUT YOU HAVE AN NPC TO UPGRADE IN ASCALON SO GIVE IT TO ANYBODY HERE*

that is why.and since you can make a simple vault to cantha tab character do it and stop being lazy

as for the 50 gold per character they probably found out that the original vault activation code worked better than an add on extra piece of code

From an RP perspective, it makes lots of sense.

The Xunlai have added an upgrade, and of course local customers will benefit, and since its brand new, they can only offer the upgrade at the most populated cities.

There isn't an npc in Ascalon to do the upgrade. That's what I'm complaining about. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding your remark. As for being 'lazy'...Yeah ok I just spent 10 minutes moving stuff from a tyrian mule to canthan toons so I could put it in the new storage so instead of 50g ea it basically cost me 1k or so from lost game time since I could have made that playing for the same amount of time.

I see your point but from a game mechanics point of view, people are more likely to just recreate any low lvl chars in Cantha since they can have full armor and full attributes and full storage in an hour or two. not to mention basically free runes of holding etc. So I don't see how this promotes an rp experience at all

Why didn't you go to cantha, open storage, then go back? Or was this mule an ascalon-city-only level 1 wonder? In that case you really should have made a pvp mule ^_^

i made my necro in tyria (I prefer the tyrian faces/hair), did the searing, got run to LA, then got my full armor in kaineng quickly and activated my material tab. I dont think its too difficult to access it.

I think it reinforces the idea that its "Factions only" if its only available on that map.

On the flipside, if you had the Xunlai Storage upgrade people in ascalon, or LA or Droks, people who only had prophecies would be snubbed and might only get pissed ;D

i was saying if a chapter 1 only person spotted the upgrade storage NPC in Ascalon some of them would feel entitled to the upgrade otherwise it would not be where they could see/access it.

and if you make 6k an hour you are well ahead of me.

I think you should be able to purchase it on any char, after activating it on any character in cantha. My L12 ele has to put it in regular storage and then get on another char just to put some mats in storage. Its a pain in the ass because I dont want to run through everything and get to LA etc.
