Freezing on Log in

I have played this game with no problems at all for 5 months now.
Over the past 3 days I click GW icon, type in my password and when I hit enter it freezes up my whole computer.

I use dial-up so I don't download things and visit very few sites.
I am using a P4 3.2ghz, 1g ram, nvidia 6800.

I did change the layout on my guild wars screen the day before this started, i.e. changed where my health bar and skill bars are displayed.

Anyone know why this started? i usually have to restart once or twice before it works.

Try setting the layout to default and see if it still freezes. If it works fine, send a detailed message to the support site on the Guild Wars main site.

I had this same problem.... but mine turned out to be a hardware issue... the fan on my nVidia 6600 decided to meltdown, so it's unlikely that you have the same problem, since you can fix it with rebooting.
