My Idea For trading!
BauMan
Im not sure if im the only one who hates selling there stuff in the game and dont get me wronge this sites auction thing is great but alot of people dont know about it. So my idea is called Auction Island. This island would be added just like they added Battle Island. On this Island there would be three computers to talk too. Storage, Wepon Auctioner, and Iteam Auctioner. Players could put there wepons on auction at the Wepon Auction House and iteams could be place in the Iteam Auction House. PLayers would be able to pick a staring price and a time for it to run. It would cost about 100 gold to put an iteam in 1 of the 2 houses but everything cost money so it wouldnt be that bad. If the bidder won that iteam it would be transfered to there storage account. Thats my idea for Auction Island! tell my what u think o and this was already put up on the forums sry i just found the site 2 days ago.

i like the idea, i think its extreamly annoying tryin to go to like LA dis 1 tryin to find what u want in all the mess that goes on i mean its either all red cause u turn off local so u can distinguish anythin or its both so u get all the useless local chat that u dont need.

Yes, it has been suggested before. That's because something like this is sorely needed. It would make my life so much easier, I know that... I'd already have material traders for my guild hall by now.

Or like in other MMORPG's you open a store and sit on the ground and wait, but this also produces lag.

Regardless if it's been said before, I think it's a great idea. Usually it takes me ages to sell anything I want to, or I don't manage to sell it at all, and I don't want to stand there for hours spamming trade chat, when I want to do other things. There's loads of empty space in Cantha and Tyria, so a location isn't a problem.

Yes id love there 2 b an auction NPC in GW like there is in WoW but maybe the price for auction should be maybe 1 platinum as that way tehre would be no cheap spammed items that are worth so litle and no one would ever look at them

How would it work when you're seeling items for money + ecto (for example). Would there be one part for money and one for offered items. And the computer distinguishes(sp?) what the items are worth? (does that make sense?)
For example, Person A could offer 100k + 10 ecto's, person B could offer 50k + 20 ecto's, and Person C could offer 80k + 10 ecto's + 20 shards. Would the auction system be able to tell which is the best offer? And could the seller specify what they are willing to trade in?

Just increase the limit that people can trade and carry at once?
Anet didn't expect prices to go over 100k for anything, and they were right, it's stupid. There's farmers for you, making money more and more worthless.
And how ecto's are worth so much when a 2 man team in UW can pull loads in, it just doesn't make any sense.
EDIT -- And how that Lyss'as realm concept is the 'spotlight' and the auction house isn't is beyond me.
