everytime i play GW i get a weird sound coming out of my PC when it loads it stops or when ever I minimize it it stops..

I have a

AMD 3200+ 64 bit
1GB of ram
200GB Seagate HD
MTI nforce 4 platinum motherboard
and a ATI9200SE video card

Also I just started playing factions (this never happendbefore) and the screen froze and it was pink / purple...

I have no idea its just in there. I smack it too. ITs not the hard drive.

I have a feeling it could be my graphics card. because it does the same with Counterstrike sometimes..

Hitting it is not a good idea. Try opening up the case and having a listen to find out where its coming from.

lol well I bought a XFX Geforce 6800XT and the noise stopped! and my graphics are magically better (I had a Sapphire 9200SE ATI)

What kind of sound is it?

A very high pitched "squeeeeeeeeeeee"?

If so, it is either a) the coils in your monitor (CRT monitors), b) the coils in your graphics card. There's much nothing you can do about it.

My old R9800 used to squeal a lot, especially certain resolutions, and in Diablo II, whenever I had an object highlighted o_O;

i know it has stopped and all, but can you try to describe the noise? because my mate has the same problem when on the loading screens of guild wars, and if its the same i can tell him to get a new graphics card.

'hearing sounds' is too general. To give further support the source of the sound is needed.
