Highly suspect they're testing the effects of raising faction bonuses again, like the PvP FFA weekend last time. I wouldn't be surprised to see some amount of boost become permanent, although if they raise it much higher without raising the cap, getting maxxed out in the middle of a winning streak is going to get annoying.

generally - although I dont do TA/RA/etc much it seems I earn faction much faster in AB than I do in those. So that could be why.
