Strike Force [SF]

A/

My PVE build

unsuspecting strike
fox fangs
death blossom
twisted fangs
shockwave
shadow refuge
recall
rez

attributes:

9 earth
10 +1 dagger
7+3+1 shadow
10+1 crit

This build isn't designed to kill enemies, but provide support dmg to a group. Target foe with full hp to recieve US bonus, then FF. If there isn't any enemies nearby or there is a boss, use TF. If in a group, obviously DB. Follow through with a shockwave and repeat.

Alliance Build

siphon speed
Aura of Displacement
Black Lotus Strike
Exhausting Assault
Shock
Falling Spider
Twisted Fangs
Shadow Refuge

attributes:

5 air
10+1 dagger
4 death
8+3+1 shadow
11+1 crit

Cast siphon speed on target, AoD, BLS, EA, Shock, FF, TF, drop AoD, SR
Pretty straight forward, except Siphon Speed can also be used to run.

the main thing that i see that could use tweeking are your attribs.

critical strikes are a +2e from 8-13.. haveing it at 10 means you are spending 24 pts for only a +2% chance to critical hit.. i'd drop it down to 9 (8+1) and bring deadly arts up to 6. deadly arts increase's the efficency of assassin dmg skills (+dmg, + to hit)

skill set looks good, the only thing that'd worry me is the lack of condition removal. but you can get by without it.

i haven't done aliance battles yet, so i don't have a comment for that one.

It doesn't. Would be nice if it did.

Another thing I would do is swtich exhausting assasult with twisting fangs, with Twisting fangs firstthe rest of your attacks damage that follow with be on the reduction in health from the deep wound. Also poison from falling spider will stack with the bleeding from Twisting fangs, all this on top of exhausting assault, ouchie!

the discription of DA is - "no inherent effect. many assassin skills, especially those related to harming enemies, become more effective with higher deadly arts"

the discription of str is - "when you use attack skills, each point of str will give you 1% chance of armor penitration. Many skills, especially those related to surviveing and inflicting damage become more efective with higher str. "

so minus the armor penitration and surviveing part, they do the same thing. and attack skills being more effective means more dmg and beter chance to hit.

The secondary fx of STR only applies to STR based attacks(of which there actually are a couple), same for deadly arts, it's not going to raise base dmg, just deadly art skills/spell/ect dmg. That or 90% of the skill lines in the game directly modify damage, as they all use that secondary text.

Unless they directly state that they have an inherant effect, they don't.

Most skills say "no inherent effect. many _______ skills, especially those related to _______ _______, become more effective with higher ________".

But ultimately, there is no inherent effect.

Re: the pve build: I'm not really a fan of US - it takes too much energy for a conditional bonus. In PvE I usually try to use Golden Phoenix or Black Lotus so I can jump right into dual strikes. I like the aoe damage concept, but would probably use Starburst and try to fit in Conjure Flame. Plus, Starburst is very viable against a solo foe, while Shockwave becomes too energy intensive to get much milage.

Can't really comment on the Exhausting build, since I've never really used it.
