My storage idea - feedback please
BeXoR
I think one of the aspects of this game is that it limits you, thus making it a challenge to work around those limitations.
That being said, a few of these ideas would be great to see implemented. I personally would love to see dye storage and armor storage. I don't have too many problems with quest items on separate characters, although I have made a character who specifically holds only pretty quest items (Tattered Bears, shiny coins, flowers, NONG BERRIES!!! etc) and dyes. And although a row of my bank is taken up by keys, I don't think keeping them in storage is a necessary thing, although quite handy. Runes and key storage I could take or leave. And our guild is tiny so we'd have no need for a vault. Well, we don't need it, but if it was available I'm sure people would use it.
Some of the ideas scream of packratting to me, and as a dedicated hoarder who hates that they hoard, it terrifies me. I *want* to get rid of my junk. Don't encourage me to keep it! D:
So I most definitely /sign for Dye and Armor storage. Especially when there are so many special event items coming out. And different armor art types.
The other ideas I see some usefulness in, but they would help others more than myself.
Good work on coming up with this and thanks for submitting it here. I hope Anet takes notice.

I have a Warrior that I have had since day one of Prophecies. He has 2 helms, 7 or 8 special hats, 3 axes for different uses, 3 swords for different uses, 3 or 4 mini pets, some runes I am saving for my new armor, some keys and a few other things. I don't have room to pick up hardly anything. The storage was fine when it was just prophecies. When they added the material storage for factions it helped alot. But now we need more room. It's just crazy to not be able to have a little more storage. I can't tell you how many good items I have sold to merchants or gave away just because I didn't have room for them. A key ring addition to the belt would be awesome. It doesn't have to allow for 250 keys of each type. Heck 5 of each type would be fine. Dye storage would be great too. How many colors of dye are there? 10? Ten slots would make a huge difference. Also, I enjoy and appreciate all the special items GW gives us. I just wish there was a special area to store these items. The special hats, the halloween items, the candy cane weapons, the mini pets. C'mon A-Net! You GAVE us all this stuff, now give us a little more room to play the game!

But but but.. then I wont be able to complain about how full my storage is and give all my crap away for free...
Actually I like the idea, but I think the 'quest items' bin is a bit too far.

5 Slots of normal storage per character slot in a panel with a scrolbarr.
Accounts with only one Campaing will get the current usual 20 slots.
Accounts with would get 10 more slots (2 characte slots)
Plus purchasing additional slots would grant 5 more storage slots.
An account with all campaings and NF preorder free slot would have: 5x9=storage 45 slots.
Additionally any or all of those:
- Dye storage tab, with a button that opens the dye preview window.
- 'Other' Tab with 50...200 free slots for non-sellable and special stuff, like event items, spirit drinks, food, minipets...
- Trophy (collectable drop) tab, with 50..200 slots that will only allow staking collectable drops from monsters, like Stone Summit Badges, Putrid Cysts, or Kournan Pendants.
- Personalized items tab with 20...100 slots that only allow personalized items (This includes event items, armor, weapons).

Great idea, but a suggestion. I don't know about anybody else, but I never find myself in surplus supply of quest items. Possibly this tab could be shared with armor?

/signed Keyrings a great idea(though Ive never had more than 4 at any time), armor - Oh hell yes! Eles need 4 sets @5 pieces each, thats 20 slots there, you also will likely have armor sets with all minor, and all superior runes on them(at least, I do), and its very in convenient to have to carry them around. Or, at best now, to buy mules, and keep logging in/out to exchange items.
