Monstrous Claws - ???
Cebe
I picked up a couple of monstrous claws for myself the other day in Vizunah Square, forgot all about them... Yesterday I take them to the Rare Material Trader thinking, "ah, I might as well get a couple of hundred gold for them"... WOAH...HOLD ON A SECOND....I think you've given me too much change there missy.... No wait, She really does buy them back for 700g a piece!!
How come they have suddenly shot up in value so much??

sadly, the rare material trader is kinda bugged (or at least was with me)
he has no sapphires for sale, but when i tried selling one i got while farming in factions the initial price was 750, when i requested to sell it, it went down to 250... the npc scammed me... oh the shame

Don't sell them to the rare material trader - there are TONS of ritualists that are hoping to buy them from players in game.
I know I just bought my 1.5K armor in Kaineng (I'm a sucker for that little red vest on the female ritualist's armor), and it took me over 3 days to buy enough claws from other players in order to get it.
The spread between what the rare material trader sells them for and buys them for is also pretty ridiculous - you can generally make 200g more a piece by just selling them to players in game.

It's never good when the NPCs learn the Art of Scamming! You know, if they'd have bought it off you for 250g it's cause they spotted someone in another district saying "WTB Saphire - 1k" - i think they were just after a big profit!
- Crafty little materials traders, little scamps, the lot of them!

I wouldn't call them scammers. Cheapies? YES!!!!!
As suggested already, keep them and sell them to your fellow ritualist.

Made a little over 800k selling 500 claws and 500 fangs in factions. I had bought them in prophecies about a year ago lol. I probably netted a 400-500k profit. Still losing money on my eyes though.

Necros need the "monstrous" items too.

Lol, nice. I guess hoarding those things paid off. They're costing me an absolute fortune. Its frigging ridiculous when they make extremely rare items requirements for common armour. Its exactly the same as making warriors pay 1k a piece for Deldrimor Steel instead of Steel Ingots for there 1.5k Droks armour.

yup, my warrior fissure costed about 2 million at the time I got it. It only costs about 1.25 million now (these numbers dont even include the 15k per piece and normal materials).

I bought a stack each of monstrous items. Pretty much used them all on armor sets, but I did save a bucketload of gold.
