This is ridiculous. Just errored out with it saying please try this operation later....aye very good just as I'm going from the ascalon foothills into diessa. Surely since this is a global game, support will move round the planet as the day moves on.
If two million people have bought one or both of the games then I think they could at least form some sort of support team in US, Europe and Asia. Have we had any news, update on the website, anything apart from Gaile saying that they are looking into it?

The problem is not restricted to uk only, mainland europe here and can't connect either...
First i got an error 40 and got kicked out, now error 13 everytime i try to login.

I was in Arborstone when I got the error 13 messsage. Strangely, it only happened as we completed the mission - the three swords showed, but the cutscene did not. I was standing around in the mission, with Altrumm having appeared on my map, as have the three swords, but a constant message saying Reattemting connection to the server (Code=13) I could still walk around as normal, but all of the enemies had disappeared. I couldn't map out, as nothing happened.
When I logged out, I couldn't load any of my characters.

I was about to enter unwaking waters on the Kurzick side, and Reattempting...Code 15. Every time I clicked enter mission...

Just finished an FoW trip with the alliance. 1 got kicked out after a lag spike. Any number of lag spikes since then. When we finished... came to return to ToA, instantly kicked out (some sort of code56 or somet). Back to the err13 messages. Euro server, UK.

But just think it could be worse, imagine if u were in UW or some place and u were picking up a green item and ectos and then lost it lol, I would be so pissed off.

You've probably come to this conclusion already, but I've noticed from reading what you've been saying and from my own experience we get the first error (err=040, I think it was) when we're loading a new area, problems connecting to the server, I think.

I was doing Arborstone with my allaince, finished it with masters, skipped the end scene and we ended up back in the mission at the end. With a msg popping up in the chat box saying "Disconnected from server code=013" Now i get code 13 on the char select screen. Also english here.

I just experienced the error too. But I experienced something else too:
I was in the deep while some people started to message me in msn that they got errors. While in the deep I didn't get an error message. Once we cleared it some left and started to say on TS that they couldn't log and got an err.
I decided to walk back a bit and pick up some items that were left. Then I tried to log to Cavalon and .... I managed to log. Walked to the merchant and .... My items were almost ALL GONE!!! Instead of Golden Items I got Keys again!
Then I logged again and got an err40.
What is going on! This is the second time the Euro-server is out in a short period. While the American Server is still on.

All seems to be well now. There was a problem within a major European ISP earlier today and that caused the connectivity problems experienced by so many. I believe our technical team did some rerouting, but it was a pesky problem for a while. They are now doing a quick (<10 minute) emergency network repair, so there may be a tiny bit of connectivity gap during that period of time.
Just to make you aware, the source wasn't within Guild Wars, but external to the GW servers. We saw your guys drop off to nearly nothing on the graphs, and knew it was something really major. Thanks for your understanding, and for not yelling at us about something beyond our control.

Thanks for the great support Gaile, and to those who are whining, complaining and considering quiting GW cause of such problems, i just can say you definitly never played a buggy MMORPG before. Guild Wars has less downtimes than any other MMORPG i played before. Thanks anet!

I dont think the problems are solved entirely. I was doing RA and while loading the map it sat at 0% for like 5 minutes. The error015 appeared and got logged off. I try to re-enter and boom err58 ftw! :-(
A couple weeks ago i had the same problem, err58 stayed on for about a week (see thread "err058 for more then 24 hours"). that time the problem was ISP related. Anet updated something and Telenet didnt.
Been going for an hour and a half now, and still cant login.

Not only do I get a lot of err 7 / err 58's when I'm playing(like last night when I was 1 hour in to Tombs) This morning 0630 EST can not even log on (Err 58)
