The nerf bat came down pretty hard on shields with the change made to "reduced dmg" mods.
A +30 hp, +10 AL vs <dmg> shield would be much better than the new reduced dmg shields.
Also, with the change to green/collector shields, these would have utility to other classes as well. A monk's low energy set, for example.
Of course, the change was a rather intentional nerf to warriors and this would partially undo that nerf, so it might not be a good idea.
Thoughts?

Do you realize how many damage types there are?
Shields:they aren't "elemental and physical"... they have +10 only against specifics
-piercing, slashing, blunt
-lightning, air, fire, water/cold
That's quite an undertaking unless Arenanet were to combine them with +30HP.
A shield would be +30HP, +10AL vs. _________ most likely.

And "+30HP, +10AL vs. _________" is exactly what I'm suggesting.
They don't need a new model. Bladed/wooden buckler/crimson carapace would be fine.
