Dervish males look like...
milias
Heh, I didn't know the Star Wars convention was in town
I myself am a more Star Trek type of guy. But yea, I wouldn't mind if the Dervish looked like a Jedi. Do we get light sabers too? A sword-equivalent of Chaos Axes maybe?

Dervish/Warrior + Celestial Sword + Samuel L. Jackson Resemblance = Mace Windu II
golem bigstick
more sith than jedi... unless you dye the armor white .
im dyeing it pure black, not to be a sith fanboy, but instead dark brotherhood with a freaking bigmutha scythe of pure pwnage. lol d/a for the true assassin. shadow stepping in robes.... then pwning the group and not just one caster...
i love anet.
now they just need to make the male paragon have jays dance from clerks and clerks II!

Dervish = The new face of Farming..... Plenty of skills the damage whole groups at once... think about it.
Paragon n00b Names:
Captain Plannet
City Of Heroz Man
| Shiney guy |
Dervish n00b Names:
Darth Noodle
I Gotz Cloak On
Big Scythe Guyzzz
This should... like Factions.... make GW a tougher place for veterans to find a decent group...
Oh... and I love the Sammy L Jackson face on the SC3 pic, LOL

Actually Vahn, I think you will find that Kal's avatar is taken from Dune, not Star Wars. I could be wrong of course, wouldn't be the first time, but they look like "spice eyes".
As for sci-fi geeks, I think the problems gamers have with them stems from jealousy. How so? Well most sci-fi geeks are 100%+ literate. Most gamers couldn't pass a grade 1 comprehension test.

Someone in one of the other threads suggested that people will be using names of the angelic hosts for paragon names. I really hope that doesn't happen as my name will suddenly be a lot less original. Although I doubt someone will start using cherubim in their name.
I'm very much looking forward to trying the paragon. Maybe now I will be able to play a supportive role and do some damage at the same time.

Any1 here thinks that the Dervish Looks a lot more like an assassin or like a shinobi.

The male dervish hood looks just like Seaguard Eli's.
doinchi
They did strike me as the Reborn from JK. I cant wait to try them out. Maybe give em a IDS or FDS and they would look exactly like jedis lol!
Freedom Cry
first off anything with a hood isn't a dervish.
a. dervish were real african warrior-priests
b. that Samual L. Jackson picture made me laugh for about 10 min
c. i will never invite a dervish named after a starwars character into my farm group
d. has anyone thought of the grim reaper.......
e. grim reaper = sythe, black hooded robes, patron of death.....
f. seaguard eli looks entirely diffrent
g. the dev team that worked on c1 is the c3 dev team thus it is more pvp oriented and yes they may have been influenced by sc3 which did come out very close the the deployment of the first chapter
h. god guys give it a rest about the friggin' jedi stuff.

a. A Dervish is actually a cleric, not a warrior-priest.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dervish
b. Samuel L. Jackson and Snakes on a Plane will make anyone laugh.
c. I will never invite a Dervish (or any other character for that matter) into my group who doesn't understand that capitals make sentences so much easier to read. Neither will I invite those who don't understand that "Star Wars", is two separate words, a trademark, and copyrighted.
d. Yes, mentioned several times in this thread, and others too.
e. I will never, ever, invite a Dervish into my group who can't manage to spell scythe, especially when the correct spelling is less than a click away.
f. Agreed. Eli seems to favour red zinc. I see no zinc on the dervish.
g. Proof, please.
h. Give the Star Wars fans a break. I promise you, their ability to game isn't diminished because they are able to mutter MTFBWY on appropriate, or even inappropriate, occasions.
