justa concept build really... only 4 skills involved the rest are fluid.

using dual attunements and channeling in theory should reduce the cost of a 5 energy spell to 0 energy!!!!!!

you get 80% back from the attunements (50% from ele attunement 30% from normal attunement) so that effectively reduces the cost of the spell to 1energy. and as long as you have an enemy in the area channeling will give you one energy back per spell per enemy in the area thereby dropping the spell cost to 0!

so your 4 skills would be
stone daggers
channelling
ele atunement
earth attunement


probably no real use but never mind... i like the idea of casting for free

Go with one of the 1/2 range spells since you have to be really close in order to gain anything from channeling.

I would think the dual attunements are enough though and it is better to stay at full range whenever possible.

3 energy spells imo would be a HUGE waste of a skill slot. add in a rez and then you only got room for 4 dmg spells. I would rather go with dual attunements like Dean said or just go with EP. Energy gets to a point where trying to get unlimited energy is wasteful and harmful to a team imo.

Yeah Dual Attunement is already enough, getting back 80% of the energy cost, and your regular regen should be able to cover that little energy lost.

On that note, how well does EP really work? If I could take EP instead of dual attune then I have an extra slot for a skill. Though dual attune makes energy problems very rare.

well on paper dual attunements works fine, but everywhere i like to go they just get stripped so often it's a waste of energy just to cast the attunement. so i've left elite energy spells for dmg dealing ones, and just try to rely on the non elite attunement and really pick and choose what i go in after.

really frustrating that not only do ele's have to overcome dealing their dmg through the massive armor i'm seeing on the higher level missions but also can just say goodbye to their attunement whenever they get anywhere close to a mesmer and many other classes while the necros are running around dealing all sorts of damage to anything they hex and after the fight is over they're maxed out on energy ready for the next fight while us ele's hafta ask the party ta,....just wait.
