what i'm wondering most is if we'll get 2 new chatacter slots in nightfall if we add it to our prophecies. it will be unfair if they won't do the same as with factions. any information about this issue?

It would be as understandible that we would get a extra 2 slots as we did in factions. If this is not true there honestlly would be no since in buying nightfall. just wait till chapter 4 and you can have all 4 chapters for the price of 3

completely, totally wrong.

if you dont buy Nightfall you will not have access to any of its content just as people who do not have Factions now cannot access is.

every game is standalone but can be merged.

1 gw chapter alone = 4 slots
2 gw chapters merged = 6 slots.
n gw chapter merged = 2n + 2 slots.

Agreed with Guinevere, its the only way to please the masses by offering the least of 2 slots *1 for each new profession* and still gaining maximum revenue *since the opportunity to buy character slots is supposed to come into play really soon*

I'm imagining arrows or something on either end to navigate though the character list.

I hope that there will be 2 more slots for buyin nightfall, otherwise that means buying 4 to 5 more slots instead of just 2 to 3. O well, either way I'll be supporting Arena Net they win I guess.

Yesterday's new build changed the way the character selection screen looks in a few ways. First off, you can now organize your characters in different ways. Second, you now have slightly faded outlines of arrows on the far left and right side of your character slots. This speaks volumes to me.
Why would you need to organize character slots if you only have 6, or with Nightfall, 8 slots? It doesn't seem very necessary at all. Secondly, why do we already have selection arrows on our menu? We aren't getting Nightfall for a few months now and surely they won't be GIVING us new slots?
With evidence like this, how could you not believe that the buyable slots are coming out soon, maybe not this weekend, but without a doubt before the release of Nightfall

It'd be a good marketing strategy for them to release them before the PvP event...because I'm sure there are some people with all slots taken that want to try the event, and would buy a new slot to be able to participate.

Some people (such as i) have their slots full with PVE characters because they don't like to delete them when making a new character. Therefore we probably can't test those new characters

Usually ANET announces when something will happen like this a few weeks before they do.

Like the storage, they announced its release about 2 weeks before we had it, so I'm not entirley sure the timing is right.

Oh nooo :PP That's so harsh, totally been there.

I learned from the Factions pvp weekend. I was stuck with 4 pve characters and I only got to unlock skills, it was lame :P

So now I have a pvp slot heh, thank GOD. I hardly use it, but at least it's there.

It's already been stated there will be no additional preview slots (like last time/no preview key either as far as we know) so that right there is a good indication buyable slots are very imminent. If you don't have any free slots to try it out, what better time to fork over some more cash!

Yes it's business, but it's also kinda sad they're resorting to marketing ploys like this (providing preview keys before but seemingly no longer) Ah well.

Yeah, I got a hunch that ANet will roll out the buyable character slots by the end of this week. Kinda lame, because PvE players who do not maintain a PvP character slot but want to try the new professions are f*cked. They got the choice either to buy a new slot or to delete a character, one that they've probably put a lot of work and time into.

If u REALY wanna try it, u must choose too delete one (id do the on e wich has the least amount spent on it and least time created), but i wont have that problem, cos i use 4 PvE 1 MAIN PvP, and 1 Testbuild PvP

I am all about buyable slots. If they are around $10 per slot - I'm looking to buy at least 4 more slots! I hate re-rolling.
