Log on, bring up inventory by pressing [I], move cursor over item, look towards the bottom of the description... There will be a price after 'value'... Take items towards nearest merchant for a quick sale...

Alternatively, buy an expert salvage kit, salvage for the armor +5 mod:

A. If it is a staff wrapping of defense +5: stand around spamming for two weeks and maybe sell it for 1k.

B. If it is a Staff head of defense +5: stand around spamming for two months and maybe sell it for 1k.
