I started the day by farming Ghial (and Zinfaun) three times with my warrior. Nothing. Log off.
Grab my mesmer and go into random arena, and get brutalized by three warriors. OK. I respec to warrior hate. The next SIX matches, there isn't a single warrior or assassin in the enemy teams, just casters and rangers. I log off.
I log on as my protmonk, and go to RA. First match my team consists of *three* protmonks and an ele. I take the hint, and log off. *Random* teams my ass.
I log on as my war, and farm Ghial again. Kill him (and Zinfaun) _12 fricking times_. Nothing. Log off.
Log on with my ranger, and try to get him through Raisu Palace mission with henches. Loses three times because the time runs out. Tries to get in to a PUG but noone wants a barrager.
Finally I take my ranger on a chest run. Six purple crap, not even max. Combined they cover the cost of ONE key. Log off.
<sigh> Just one of those days.
If it wasn't for bad luck...

I used to take my Monk into SF alot, back when it was somewhat new. 20 or so runs as a Healer netted me absolutely nothing. I switched to MM. About 20 more runs netted me the crappier of Victo's axes. Hooray
. I havn't farmed in there since. I figured I should quite while I was ahead, with that green axe.

I have the same sorta luck with green farming as you, i could kill a boss 100 times and nothing would drop, i stick with the ole trading when i can, atleast that way i know im not completely wasting time.

Yea, luck changes. Yesterday I got 3 greens when my guild tried farming around Gyala Hatchery (Explorable). Out of the total greens dropped I got 3 out of 4. Also, I did a trapping run in UW a day ealier and got 2 ectos (again with my guild).
So yea, my guild now doesn't want to bring me along for farming.
But this has made up for a HUGE lack of drops. I had about 2 months of no good drops. I do a Tomb's run and get either nothing, or a horrible green like Milius' Eye. And the golds I got were non-max, common skins, and/or bad mods.
So what I'm saying is that you are probably in a bad spell, hopefully your luck will pick up.
P.S. for anyone wondering the greens were Jacqui's Aegis, Soulwhisper's Guardian, and Mohby's Artifact. The fourth was a second Aegis.

Yeah, it will all go right, eventually...
It was a day before the Pre-order factions thing...
I was ready and happy, then i look for the stacks of monstrous fangs and claws i had been saving up for 2 months or more... i couldnt find them, in a desperate panic i logged on every character then eventually gave up hope and realised i had somehow merch'd them... i was really depressed and then i started playing factions and got possibly the first perfect celestial sword and sold it for 300k, and even the day after i was still getting pms about where i got the sword...
dont worry, your luck will improve... just be patient and good things will happen

I know how ya feel, I've had days like that. I lost about 300k a couple days back from paying too much for a weapon I thought I could resell for a higher price and then getting scammed for my first time since I started playing GW over a year ago.
Here's a tip for Raisu with a ranger though: Run a trapper build. I got masters on one of my rangers using an Oath Shot trap build. It works well to keep mobs repelled from your soft targest, does good AoE damage, as well as blind/cripples the enemies to help your allies out. Healing Spring also works well as a good support for your team since you will likely be in one tight group the whole time.
The first time I tried it, I dropped Heal Spring for the Dragon Skill, but I stuck with Heal Spring the next time since it's actually rechargable and had success the second time.
You will likely have more success finding a group as a trapper or should at least find a better group if you get invited by one that understands how well a trapper can help there. However I will wish you good luck on finding a monk, they're still pretty rare.
