The Gold one, but customized. Even if I can't customize it, the Gold because it looks nicer due to the Goldness. I don't like the text of Purple items anyways.

If I can't customize the gold bow, then I'd take the purple one. Customized gives you 20% unconditional, while the 15% from gold bow requires my health to be above 50%. I'd also switch to zealous or vamp.

The Gold, customized, really only picked the gold because of the 15%^50. If the purple had the same I wouldn't care. I never think about the re-sell. If I have a weapon to use then it is ALWAYS customized.

Then why use it?

You just need to clearly determine which weapons you want to use (which you should customize) and those that you want to keep because of their value (which you can either sell or hold in inventory for a rainy day).

To me, I'd rather use the gold one and customize it, than live with a subpar weapon. Playing the game to its fullest is much more enjoyable than seeing an inventory full of pretty stuff I can't touch.

Too valuable to customize? That's pathetic. But considering you want a sundering mod...........

Most groups prefer rangers that can actually do some damage.

I'd definitely customize the gold one. I usually end up customizing pretty much everything except caster weapons, where damage isn't that big of an issue.

I'd customize the gold one. The purple with no damage mod is a piece of trash. If you really feel it's too valuable to customize, sell it and buy a bow you would be willing to customize. There's no reason to use subpar equipment.
