I own both Chapters. Anyone knows if Factions Characters can run from Lion's Arch all the way to Ascalon?
If that's possible, can we do the quests there?

Yes you can go back from lion's arch, but you won't be able to do quests. You can do the missions but won't get any rewards for them.
Orginally they were locked out, but people would not be able to get the titles so they opened them back up.

I've actually been seeing Canthans in LA asking for reverse runs to Yaks and Ascalon. It's pretty funny.

Besides working towards that Tyrian Explorer title, I see no reason to run back to Ascalon now.

I just brought a Canthan elementalist through Tyria.
Yes, you can travel back from Lion's arch to Ascalon. You can access the entire map.
You can do quests. However, you will not receive rewards for mission or bonus prior and including Gates of Kryta. You receive full rewards for missions from D'alession Seaboard and on.
You will not have access to quests in the entire region east of Kryta. The earliest skill quest that I found that was available to me as a Canthan character was Archivist Ithimar. Most of the quests after that in the story progression is available. There are some that are still not available to you in the desert.

Yep, and beyond the explorer title you will need to go back in order to get the protector titles.
