Hear ye, Role-players of Lyssa’s Fiction! I give you a new Role-playing opportunity in the form of my newest thread, and as I shall predict the best thing that has happened to the Fiction since the “Original Role-play” thread, dictated by my comrades and myself last summer. I shall start with giving you a layout by which you should post your character’s statistics, should you wish to participate in this role-playing:
Character's Profession Character’s Name: Character’s Nickname:* Character’s Age: Character’s Birth Date:* Character’s Height: (Approximately is fine) Character’s Weight: (Approximately is fine) Character’s Hair Color:~ Character's Eye Color:~ Character’s Skin tone:~(This is not for discrimination, just a bit of info if someone else needs to describe your character ) Character’s Armor Type:~ (The game name for the armor is fine, unless you have something else you would like us to call it, and if this is the case, please state the game name of the armor in question) Character’s Weapon:~ (Most Frequently Used or all of them) Any personality traits or quirks associated with your character Any background information or a bit of biography*
(Items marked with an asterisk (*) are not required, although appreciated)
(Items marked with a signature break (~) are acceptable through a screenshot of your character)

Now, to get down to business, the opening characters and sequence:
Elementalist Alicia Stormcrow Crow (Licia by those closer to her) 18 43rd Day, Season of the Phoenix (Translation to the modern calendar, May 13th) 5’ 7” Approximately 122 pounds Silver (through an odd occurrence when the Searing hit Ascalon) Changes with mood, but typically a smoky grey-green Fair, but slightly tan from her stayings in Kryta Typically a Pyromancer’s set, but also uses Aeromancer and Tyrian Archmage’s Dragon Staff, Plagueborne Staff Typically a loner with a fiery personality to match her magic, although she does associate with people for different occasions, a bit seductive in nature, and is easily angered Warrior Garria Stormcrow Blades (Garri by those closer to her) 25 278th Day, Season of the Colossus (Translation to modern calendar, October 10th) 5’ 8” Approximately 125 pounds Chestnut Brown, slight blonde highlights throughout Bright, piercing blue (Near dark navy when on an adrenaline rush) Pine Wood-Colored tan Gladiator’s Typically seen with her trusty Fiery Dragon Sword and Crimson Carapace Shield, but also uses other rarities, such as Sskai’s Sword and Jacqui’s Aegis Usually calm and composed, you can go as far as to say easy-going. Not easily frightened but is very excitable when on an adrenaline rush
And to kick off the role-play:

“Licia! Get up!” Garria’s voice echoed through the cavernous tunnels of her Guild Hall.

Partial to her sleep, Alicia was not quite ready to get up for the typical morning session, but she did anyway. Scratching her head, she made her way to the main courtyard of the Hall, stopping to see what Garria was cooking up for breakfast. It was the same as yesterday: warthog and eggs imported from Cantha, with a bit of Red Iris thrown in for more flavor. She sighed, being unable to see the reason for her sister’s constancy. Nonetheless, she took up a fork and had a few bites; training would be vigorous this morning.

She climbed onto the guild’s boat with her sister and they departed for the isle named “Random Arenas”. On this isle, heroes of all shapes, sizes, and professions were randomly put into teams to battle one another for faction with Balthazar, the Warrior God of war, and extra experience. As they arrived, the sky was beginning to darken, and they made quickly up the hill behind the Priest of Balthazar to be put into teams.

They heard the shouting of the Separator, the one hired to put heroes into random parties with people they did not know, shouting his familiar cries as they neared.

“You, Mesmer, you come here!” and “Warrior in the Platemail, you go over there!” and so on was being shouted by the Separator. They sisters neared, and were immediately put into a group with a Monk and a Necromancer, and sent through a transport portal to their arena.

“I’m Blades,” Garria said, shaking the Monk’s and then the Necromancer’s hand.

“Crow,” Alicia followed in the same pattern.

“I’m Matt, and this is a friend of mine, Ani.” The Monk said while shaking Alicia’s hand.

“Good to meet you.” Garria said as they entered the battling section of the arena.

Immediately Garria’s eyes flew to a Mesmer wearing purple Enchanter’s armor.

“Get the Mesmer.” She said to her group, “Crow, it’s Rose.”

“Perfect.” Alicia muttered under her breath.

The battle began, and the warrior on the opposing team wielded a hammer, making him an easy kill for the experienced sword mistress. A ranger blocked the path toward the Mesmer Garria had mentioned, and a few swift fireballs sent him running. The Mesmer was the next kill, but Empathy kept Garria at bay for a while, and Backfire made Alicia’s spells blast back in her face rather than flying to her target. Suddenly, the heavens poured down rain on the battle, and the teams became more destructive to themselves than the enemy. Garria was slipping, Matt kept getting pelted with the hardest drops, making him unable to concentrate on his spells, and Ani was quickly sinking the mud that snuck up on her. Only Alicia liked this weather.

“Alicia, watch it! This downpour could ruin you!” Garria shouted over the thunderous rain.

“Do you forget this is my element, Garri? I love this!” With her words, she switched her weapon to her Water Staff, and drew extra power from the rain around her. Her fireballs quickly froze into spikes and spears of ice, and pelted the Mesmer on the opposing team. “Finish her, Garria!”

And with that, the Mesmer was killed, but her spirit was able to watch the battle, and speak with the others. “Good job, my Sisters. I could have never thought of Elemental protection.” She laughed.

“Just let us kill your team, Varda. We’ll meet you back in the Hall.” Garria shouted as she and Ani finished off the last two members of the group, and they were transported back to the Random Arenas isle.

Now for you guys to add more! You know you want to, so why don't you!? (also note that I stated there were four members of the opposing team, but only gave three professions..hello perfect jump-in spot!)

Why not, I'll reply... although I will switch your order of information a little bit >_>

-Vicint Falvin (no nickname)
-Assassin
-19 (late season of Zephyr)
-5'7"
-140 lb (most of it muscle)
-Brown hair
-Dark green eyes
-Tanned, but not dark
-Assassin armour with +energy...
-Longsword and dagger (unmodded) and several belts of throwing knives)
-Eager to prove himself, but disdainful of open combat while 'on the job'.
-Vicint is the son of an elitist father who is posessed of the vision of his son one day taking over control of the guild he built from the ground - and is therefore hard on Vicint so as to temper him. Vicint's exceptional combat skills come as a result of many brutal hours being taught by the best fighters in the guild.

---------------------------------------------

Vicint wore simple clothes today, not wishing to betray the nature of his profession. Though young, the arena combatant had been trained from an early age in the subtleties of combat, and the art of the assassin.
He went unnoticed despite the broad daylight, circling around behind the warrior distracted by his enemy counterparts, the mesmer attempting to give their team mates a winning chance, and the monk desperately attempting to keep up the warrior.
His target at this moment was the elementalist deep into the casting of a powerful, complicated spell. So absorbed was the blond caster that she didn't realize Vicint was there until his blade had driven through her heart from back to front, the point of the deadly blade puncturing through the chest of the unfortunate woman.
But the kill wasn't perfect, and the woman managed a single cry in her pain that caught the attention of the enemy monk.
The short man was one of the few of his holy profession who found use in the barbaric arenas, but unlike most of the others of those who did he was smart enough to recognize a threat when he saw one.
Calling out warnings to the rest of his team, he managed to get their attention through the rest of the combat. The warrior immediately broke off from his fight with the warrior from Vicint's team, and moved to intercept the graceful nightmare approaching his healer.
But as soon as the warrior came between Vicint and his kill, the assassin had drawn on a technique he had been trying to perfect in the last few weeks. It was the most difficult to master for most people - and Vicint happened to be one of them.
Disappearing in a puff of black smoke, he reappeared immediately behind the monk and drove his dagger straight for the back of the holy man's neck. The blade was repelled from the fair skin, which briefly glowed a faint blue.
"You're pretty fast", Vicint remarked as he pressed forward, blades weaving dangerously. Each hit met evenly by the holy protection. "But how many can you take before you tire?"
As the attacks continued, the monk desperately backpeddaled, straight for the protection of the warrior. His surprise couldn't have been greater when he found Vicint disappearing once again to reappear behind the warrior and strike out fast enough to catch the monk in an unprotected area, the hamstring.

Twisting out to avoid a downward smash from the enemy warrior's enormous hammer, he saw the enemy mesmer finish activating a signet ring just before getting slashed along her back by Vicint's ally warrior. Twisting quickly, he managed to avoid recieving the revived enemy elementalist's flare in the chest.
Vicint gritted his teeth as he struggled to supress the pain from the burn, and fell back as the enemy warrior came on again with his giant hammer.

After a few swings of the mighty bludgeoning weapon, the warrior began to visibly tire, and his defenses slackened.
Long enough for Vicint's dagger to find a crack in his armour.

A second later he appeared behind the crippled monk and went once again for the single killing blow. The holy man's luck had run out, and the blade bit deep into the flesh. He was dead before he hit the ground, his spirit rising to watch the rest of the conflict.
Woozy from the repeated teleporting, Vicint found himself unable to avoid the next flare, which collided with his chest and sent him to the ground. Not dead but too weak to get back up, he could only watch as the rest of his team dealt with the rest of the enemy quartet.
A minute later, he felt the rejuvinating positive energy earned by a victory in the arenas flow through him, instantly mending his wounds and curing any aches or ailments he recieved during the battle.

In another few moments he was transported back to the sorting area of the arena, where he was placed with a warrior and elementalist with an obvious family resemblance.

No problem if you rearrange the order, I just hadn't included profession the first time, and threw it on the top of the list

-------------------------------------------------------------

As the wounds of the previous battle healed, again the sisters found themselves within the same group. The Separator found a young Assassin, obvious by his stature and clothing, and pointed him toward the pair.

He seemed a man of few words to the Elementalist, as she was usually a good judge of character, but she could not be sure. The Assassin profession could easily decieve and allow many ill-experienced with the slick tongue of lies to fall into their grasp. She decided not to worry about it, since he looked a decent enough being.

Another joined their group, and again the sisters introduced themselves while awaiting the doors to be opened into another battle. Once they did, the Warrior's sharp eyesight caught hold of the first target, and she rushed forward, eager for more adrenaline and the hollow bloodshed that would follow.

Character’s Name: Kravyn Darkrain

Character's Profession: Assassin
Character’s Age: 16
Character’s Birth Date: Never known.
Character’s Height: 5"5
Character’s Weight: 110 lbs
Character’s Hair Color: grey
Character's Eye Color: brown
Character’s Skin tone: dark
Character’s Armor Type: Shing Jea armor dyed all white.
Character’s Weapon: Shiro's blades and throwing knives.
Personality traits: Cocky and loud. He thinks more of himself than there is to think. He often boasts of his bad deeds. Putting up a viel over what he's really like. Not once has he let anyone beyond this viel and he never plans to. He is also very sensitive about his height.
Background information: Orphand at a young age Kravyn grew up in the streets of Kaineng. Picked up and pushed into the ranks of the Am Fah he became a bandit. Raiding merchants and living his life day to day. The excitement and the sheer thrill drove him and soon he left the Am Fah to travel around Cantha, defeating a strange plauge along the way.

---------

Kravyn wandered aimlessly through the sorting area. Ignoring the Seporator's multiple requests for him to stand by a group. Kravyn was just here to mingle, to chat, entertain himself at the expence of others, the usual. In that sense he smirked to himself and tripped an unsuspecting warrior. Slinking away into the crowd as the heavily armored man tumbled and fell, knocking down a few unsuspecting rangers and a randomly placed necromancer or two. Kravyn watched the events unfold from a perch, high above the area atop a straw hut. He laughed to himself as the shouts and fights broke out.

"Priceless." His voice cold and cocky yet holding a smoothe tone that could make you believe anything that slid from his hidden thin lips. "Hmmm... What now I wonder?"

Placing his hands back behind his head he locked his deep brown eyes on the sky above. His chest rose and fall in time with the breezes that brushed by him and his white mask made a slight whistle with ever breath. The sounds of the scuffle below seemed like a whisper in the wind as Kravyn watched the clouds pass over head. The sun caught his armor and made it sparkle, the well placed dagger hilts and sheaths blending to look like mere decoration. It was nothing fancy, but it got the job done. This armor had saved his life plenty of time, and due to it's reinforced state it had the same strenght of higher level armor but the look Kravyn wanted. For him it was perfect, unique, it identified him as an idividual. Just the way he wanted it to.

Leting out a sigh he sat up and glanced around, narrowing his eyes he shrugged and hopped to his feet. Making a quick dash to the edge of the hut Kravyn lept high, flipping multiple times and landing, crouched in one of the few clear areas of the sorting grounds. Smirking at all the chaos, he had caused. People were yelling at eachother, argueing and such. All Kravyn could do was glance around and chuckle. Shrugging Kravyn leaned against a tree and watched the events unfold.

"Well... This is interesting... Heh."

(OOC: Meh, short. Sorry, gotta get back into the swing of things.)

Vicint ignored the greetings of his new team, seeing no gain in an introduction. He wasn't here to gain friends, he was here to perfect his art. There was no communication required - everyone knew their role in the party, or would have to quickly learn.
A quick lookover at his teammates surmised that they were both capable and experienced. Perhaps as much as he. This both thrilled and angered the assassin - fighting alongside equals allowed one to learn new tricks and things he may have missed... but fighting alongside lessers meant more available for him to do; better practice.
As the doors swung open, timed perfectly with the doors of the enemy team, Vicint was granted a view of the battlefield. Lush green hills with dotted oak trees and a towering cliff wall off to the left. A waterfall descended from the cliff to a shallow pool from which branched a quiet stream that ran through the center of the meadow. A meadow soon to be darkened with the red stain of blood.

The assassin walked out calmly, remaining behind the warrior so he could utilise his best tactic - and best defence - surprise.

OOC: Nice to know this is attracting some of the bigger, well known posters here in Lyssa's Fiction!

IC:

Alicia lifted her nose to the air. Something smelled horrible, but she knew none of the others could smell it. It had always been a unique ability to smell the deeds of other Elementalists, and this one was indeed well prepared to fight to the death. She took it upon herself to take him out, no matter the cost.

Ah, yes. There he was, standing just in front of his team's set of doors, almost as if he was gloating. She would take care of him. One well placed wall of wind and fireball later, he lied dead on the ground, his visible soul pouting and shouting obscenities aimed at herself and her teammates. She had dealt with the cocky type before and chuckled to herself as she prepared to take down another target.

The team had done well, and the sisters prepared their small boat for the voyage back to their Hall for some well deserved rest and lunch. Alica was a bit uneasy though, and played with the ring that had adorned her finger after she had eaten. She remembered solemnly those days, now so long ago, and the man that had given her that same ring, though plain, that meant so much to her. A small band with three onyx fragments placed on top of it, two larger ones, with a small one between. She placed the ring back on her finger, and drifted off to a troubled sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hyper quickly regained to his feet after being knocked down by some clumsy Warrior in the sorting area. He sensed though that the Warrior had not fallen by himself, but was tripped. Curiously, he wandered around until he felt that whoever tripped this warrior was near. Hyper raised his head up to sense a figure atop a building. "An Assassin.... figures..." He then sensed the Assassin had moved into the sorting area. Hyper with no bone of fear in his body approached the Assassin... " Funny.... thinking you could actually get away with that."
(Yeah, sorry about those double posts. @_@ My internet screwed up and froze... So I clicked the button again...)
With his arms crossed and his head low Kravyn waited to awknoledge the Necromancer untill he spoke. His brown eyes raised to the Necromancers and due to Kravyn's small stature his head had to tilt back slightly. Already annoyed at this Kravyn gritted his teeth and smiled through his annoyance. Nodding, Kravyn answered. His voice was cocky and proud with the usual hint of rudness.
"Yes, in fact, I did."
Tilting his head Kravyn smirked behind his white mask, shaking his head and chuckling quietly as he noticed the Necromancer's handicap. Figuring that the man was weaker than him due to this blindness Kravyn found it okay to poke fun at this. It would prove to be some more entertainment for him while he awaited a more suitable victim. So, his mind set to work. Scouting out subtle insults that could be used and passed off as simple banter. Kravyn was smoothe, no doubt about that. He was the type that could lie to you from the day you met him and you completely believe every word he said. The trait is probably what got him so far in life. That and his extremely good luck.
"What I mean is, I don't know many Rangers who could track me down, yet alone a blind Necro." He paused and smirked a bit more. "But, as they say, there is a first time for everything. Then again... I was standing in plain sight. So, maybe you just got lucky. Eh?"
Grinning at his purposfully poor choice of words Kravyn sunk low. Sliding effortlessly and soundlessly across the sand and behind the Necro. Examining the scars about his body Kravyn raised an eyebrow and brushed away his grey hair.
"So, are those beauty marks? Or did you end up on the wrong end of and Oni's claw?"
With his tendancy to, overexert his rudness Kravyn had gotten himself into a lot of trouble. But with his contrasting knack for getting out of tough situations he remained safe and secure. Adding his knack for escaping trouble to his skill made him overconfidant and cocky. Also downright rude and quite frankly made him come off as a bad person. Which was far far far from the truth. Kravyn Darkrain was a good guy. Granted, he had a hot temper and was easily agitated by even the slightest hint of him being short, but he still protected the innocent and cared.
"No matter... I'm Kravyn. No doubt you've heard of me. I'm somewhat of a legend around these parts." Sounding rather proud and smug, odds were that no one in the Random Arenas had heard of Kravyn Darkrain. But Kravyn seemed... Ignorant to that fact. "I don't like to admit it but... I'm kind of a big deal."
(:P Had to work that title and movie quote in somewhere.)
OOC: ^ I was laughing my arse off as i read this.. nice job.
IC:
Hyper chuckled softly as Kravyn made his remarks. Thinking of a way to get back at the clever Assassin. Hyper knew Kravyn was trying to push him over the edge, to get him in a frenzy...but something was different. Today, Hyper decided not to use violence but to use words instead. What led him to do this, he doesn't even know why he did this himself.
"Or... have you ever thought that your a horrible assassin and that I find it extremly pathetic that a blind necro was able to catch you in the act. I'll excuse that scar comment and you have no business as to how i have them. Now if you'll excuse me..." Hyper.. in a streak of brilliance patted the short Assassin on the head as he turned away. Knowing this would anger Kravyn, he laughed softly to himself.
Hyper knew he wouldn't get out of this conversation, it called to him... to continue speaking... eagerly waiting and enjoying every moment of this Assassin getting agitated. He slowly turned around and resumed the conversation.
"The name's Hyper, and no.... i haven't heard of you... so you musn't be that of a legend eh? So, care to make anymore witty remarks?
(Thanks. )
"I..."
"Well..."
"You..."
It wasn't like Kravyn to resort to violence within the limits of an outpost, but this Necromancer tempted him to completely ignor his sence of decency and gut the pale twig of a man right there. But, luckily for the Necromancer, Kravyn held back. The fact of the matter was, that Kravyn was a damn good assassin. But his cockiness tended to get the best of him, as did his temper. And so, with clenched fists, gritted teeth, and glaring eyes he pushed back the anger and set up his veil. With a soft chuckle to hide a low growl, Kravyn nodded, meeting Hyper's introduction and question with a subtle amount of resilience.
"Nice to meet you."
Mumbling a few incoherant curses Kravyn's head darted to his left, his eyes locking onto a waddleing crab. His brown occulars followed this creature as it scurried across the sand toward it's unknown destination. As the crab passed the grouping platform a ranger caught his eye. Sitting, in the middle of the group, completely obliviouse, or so it seemed, to the world around him. With a sly grin and a challenging glance to Hyper, Kravyn sped off. Darting effortlessly through the crowd, avoiding elbows, ducking arms, even slipping between the legs of a rather large warrior Kravyn approached the platform in silence. Examining the strange antics of the Ranger Kravyn tilted his head. Blinking Kravyn slapped his head.
"Doh."
Realising how idiotic it was of him to overlook the simple excuse. He was meditating. Narrowing his eyes and suddenly finding no interest in the Ranger Kravyn shrugged and glanced around. With a yawn and a stretch he sat, his back against a large rock. Awaiting something to catch his attention, he looked around. Completely aware.
" Nice to meet y-... Hmm i guess he ran off...oh well. I better get prepared for the next match"
Hyper continued to ponder about the Assassin...What he went through to act as he did, how he could help him... but this was not his place.. no he had another mission, to find his sister. Maybe searching through these crowds of people and questioning them, he would find some answers.. just maybe. But something distracted him from this train of thought... he would first calm his mind by fighting in the Arenas.
He began walking through the crowds of people to the nearest Separator Usually he would be wondering where his life would take him next, the next lead to reuniting him with his sister or another dead end. But Hyper was not keen on these thoughts, but intent on some relaxation in the Random Arenas... they were a way of healing of sorts. As he reached the Separator, he was called to.
"You Necro, come here.... you're gonna be paired up with this Ranger here."
" OK thank you.."
Hyper then moved over to the ranger sensing he too wast spiritually aware. He then sat next to the ranger and went into a meditative state, hoping to find this ranger in his thoughts and learn more about him so that he, and the ranger for their sakes, would be well prepared for the next match.
OOC: Awesome job Plat! Almost brought to tears on that one!
IC:
Images of memory and fantasy flicked back and fourth in Alicia's mind. Images of her past friends, Sanjinu, Omega, Link, and Plat, but most prominantly the memory of her beloved, a man torn by darkness, but healed by love. This man walked in the narrow corridor between life and death, as Alicia did, along with her sister, Ksaiya, and many others. She knew this corridor of torment, as she walked within it in in her mind's eye while she was asleep, always chasing after the man who haunted her dreams, but never catching him.
It was then, within that corridor, that there was an immense chill. She was taken from the corridor, with her sisters and others, and stood within a ritualistic place: The Judgement's Ring. Within, a small boy stood, she recognized him as a past companion, awaiting Judgement to take him. But instead of sinking, as all the rest she had seen, he slowly faded backward, into the corridor opposite from her own. All who had witnessed stood in surprise, all except for Alicia, and the man she had been chasing for so long. They both smiled, and shed a single joyful tear. He had been spared an eternity of torment within the Underworld, but instead walked the path that they themselves did, only he was within the world of Grenth. He would come back, this she knew.
Judgement's Witnesses started fading back into the corridor, and Alicia saw this as her chance to capture the man she had chased, a man named Vanatiel, One of the Darkness. She took his hand as they began to fade, simultaneously, into the corridor. When they had reached it, she took no time in explaining herself, or allowing him to explain. She only did the one thing she had wanted to do for months on end. She let go of his hand, threw her arms around his neck, and kissed him so passionately that he had no choice but to do the same thing back.
It was said that only two things could melt the corridor's torment from one who walked within: Death, and the Reunion Kiss. Many had died while within the corridor, and when they had, Dwayna shone her light from above, and guided them to her with a gentle hand. However, none had ever successfully completed a Reunion Kiss, the truthful kiss of lovers torn apart by time and space, until now.
The dark corridor melted and wafted away in a smooth breeze. Blackened clothing became white, all scars and wounds were healed, and all doubt and displeasure disappeared. As the Reunion Kiss continued, the land of Diamond Branches, the forest within Dwayna's Realm, came under their feet, and the gem-buds bloomed into fragrant, crystal flowers. The Cloudbearers sent down rain from the heavens, soaking the couple, who had gone into a passionate frenzy.
As they pulled apart, the realm of Diamond Branches faded to Alicia, and so she was sent away from her slumber. She opened her eyes slowly, and there, sitting on the edge of her bed, was the same man from her dreams, the same man that had been gone for months, and her true tall, dark, and handsome: Vanatiel.
She smiled, and whispered, "I knew you'd come back."
Good idea on the Hearts and Darkness Levels, Plat. I might have to come up with my own accessory..hmm
Intuitive Abilities, using the same format as Plat -
Level 1/5 - Primal Intuition, everyone is tapped into this power
Level 2/5 - Inate Intuition, most are tapped into this as well
Level 3/5 - Hero's Intuition, you can only tap into the power of your primary profession's Intution on this one
Level 4/5 - Prodigy's Intuition, self explanatory, only by prodigies (This would be Malikai's level)
Level 5/5 - Chosen's Intuition, the highest form many Mortals can achieve (The Stormcrow Sisters each have this level, except for Alicia)
Level 6/5 - Psychic Intuition, available only to an elite few Mortals, and only granted by the Gods (Alicia and Vantie's level)
Level 7/5 - Demigod's Intuition, available to those immediately under the Old Gods
Level 8/5 - Godly Intuition, this really isn't a form of Intuiton, but really a term to place the Gods in, for they oversee every happening, and control destinies. This allows them to mold the paths of those beneath them, and to shape the destinies of all who follow them.
It was a quick idea, but I think it turned out well
OOC: I'm wondering what mine is for the both of yours too. I cant think of any accessories right now but once i do i will make sure to post. Im kind of waiting on Leon for the continuance of our plot. Hopefully soon all of the characters so far will meet and their stories will become intertwined. Ive notice that me and a couple others are in a "limbo" away from the mainplot so i will try to catch into the main part as fast as i can while still making it good. Remember this is my first RP story i've ever done.
IC:
Hyper then merged his mind with the ranger he had gotten paired up with. In the depths of his mind, wandering aimlessly through the rift that brought the two minds together, Hyper was searching for this ranger. So many thoughts raced through his head as he was walking. How did this ranger become spiritually aware and was it a coincidence that he happened to be paired with another attuned soul.
Hyper soon felt a presence. He knew that this was not that of the ranger's but something else. How this thing had become in their minds, Hyper did not know, all he sensed was a hellish being.
Hyper began to run towards the door to his being and felt that this creature did not want him to return to his body.. the creature wanted him. Hyper, in his spiritual form was strong, but this ominous presence was much more powerful. Knowing that his mind could be trapped in this realm forever he quickly reached the door to his being.
"What the hell was that and what did it want from me? This ranger has a secret, some sort of traumatic event that caused that being to manifest. Whatever it was, i don't ever want to see it again."
Hyper did not know this, but he was wrong, extremely wrong. This being that he sensed was even greater than a demon... the Reaver...
I'll just get everyone's level in one post
Vicint - Level 4/5 - Prodigy's Intuition, as it was said in his mini-bio that he was a hard-trained Assassin
Plat - Level 6/5 - Psychic Intuition, given by Dwayna
Kravyn - Level 2/5 - Inate Intuition, if only for his cockyness
Leon - Level 6/5 - Psychic Intuition, for his spiritual awareness
Hyper - Level 6/5 - Psychic Intuition, for his spiritual awareness
OOC: That made me smile Oh and I was wondering Plat if your spirit hasnt bonded with me yet because I can come in contact with Grenth as well... those scars arent just there for looks . Well I'm gonna say that when everyone was telling their backstories and became friends, Hyper was more reclusive and told very little... this is where im going to go off of and explain the rest of my situation to Vantie (since we are Necromancer homies )
IC:
The days seemed like months to Hyper. This was the first time since the Searing where he's actually had friends and has opened up. Of course he was friends with everyone, but he felt more social due to the other Necromancer, Vantie. He was able to talk to him about more things than with any other person in the group.
" Hey Vantie, I want to tell you something."
"Sure what is it?"
"Well, when everyone was telling their stories, I left out a lot because I wasn't really used to being in such close quarters with people and them actually accepting me... mostly because of the scars, and because im blind."
"You know your secrets are safe with me Hyper."
" I know that... thats why im going to tell you. Well as you already know, I became blind during the Searing and lost my sister at that time. I didn't explain why i have these scars all over my body though. Well for some time, I hid in Maguuma. I wanted to achieve attunement with the Gods, so i gave these scars to myself to show my devotion. And actually, I was able to reach one of these gods... Grenth."
----- (Flashbackyness and some detail in Hyper's character)
Hyper after giving himself the scars was in much pain. Soon he felt his spirit being transported to another realm... the Underworld. Hyper did not know what was going on, but was hoping that this was the attunement he was seeking. After he landed in this dark realm he had not seen before, he felt something strange.
"I can see again... it's a miracle!"
"Silly being, you can only see when you are in your spiritual form."
"Grenth?"
"It is I. And now, I have some questions for you, young Hyper Necrofear."
"Yes Grenth, what is it that you wish?"
"Technically, you are dead right now. Those scars you gave yourself caused much bleeding. But, I have other plans for you... you have shown true dedication, and I feel that you are worthy enough to be able to be spiritually linked with my mind. Now i give you a choice, this or, you can spend the rest of your days wandering around the realm between life and death. Of course, being spiritually linked to me does not go around with out a catch. You must, serve me until I see fit, you will spend a great deal of time down here following my orders, guiding spirits to their place, and then I will let you go."
"I understand, and I accept."
----- (End flashbackyness)
"And so i spent 7 years serving under Grenth in the Underworld, doing his bidding, just so i could return to our world. To this day, I am still connected spiritually to Grenth in this way. While I was down there.. I also gained something.. some hidden power. Now i thought Grenth purposefully kept me down there so i could get this power. I do not know what it is I have gained, but it made me a stronger person when i returned to my body."
" What if this power can cause destruction?"
" I guess only time can tell Vantie."
I just thought of a great accessory so here it is.. in the same format as Plat and Storm.
Divination Levels - the ability to communicate with the gods or sense the future or things around them
Level 1/5 - Undeveloped Divination, everyone is tapped into this power
Level 2/5 - Instinctive Divination, most are tapped into this as well
Level 3/5 - Prodigy's Divination, self explanatory, only by prodigies (This would be Malikai's and Kravyn's level (due to his high assassin skill) )
Level 4/5 - Blessed Divination, the highest form many Mortals can achieve. ( Vicint and the Stormcrows are at this level)
Level 5/5 - Privileged Divination, available only to an elite few Mortals, and only granted by the Gods (Plat, Riona and Leon have this type of Divination skill)
Level 6/5 - Demi Godly Divination, right under the Old Gods ( Hyper has this type of Divination due to his ability to sense things and his time with Grenth, left him this power to see in the future)
Level 7/5 - Godly Divination , this is a form that the gods themselves have. Able to communicate with the other gods, forsee the future and give their divination abilities to all below them, allowing them to communicate with the gods at will.
I thought this would be good as some of us can forsee or sense things, as well as communicate with the gods...tell me what you think
This was all the encouragement that Vantie needed. This was the only person that understood who he was, and liked him for what he was. This was the only person that truly knew him. How could he have been so stupid? He had known Alicia for a long time, through friendships and through hardships. Even when they had been rivals, when they first met, Vantie couldn’t believe himself for being so careless. The rest is PG-13 so I won't post it..but you all know what happened afterwards, if you read the entire post.
And just to let everyone know, the Onyx Hall is the Isle of the Dead.
Anyway, maybe a bit of role from me now..
IC:
Breakfast came a bit late in the Onyx Hall that morning, but it was good nonetheless. Garria took Aerily and Ksaiya out for training, Varda, Revvarah, and Bennah had gone out to do some questing on the mainland, which left Alicia and the guests to watch the Hall.
Alicia was a bit winded from everything that had happned for the last few days, but not quite enough to have some fun. She went to one of the bridges that crossed a pond in the middle of the Hall and made herself useful. She cleared the pond of water, sending it to the sky to be clouds for a moment, and dug out the lakebed twelve feet, disposing of the debris in the nearby ocean, and replaced the water, adding some that she conjured to fill in the rough spots.
"Vaantie!" She called sweetly, a bit of a guilty smile on her face, that she quickly wiped off when she saw him coming.
By this time, she had stripped off her boots and her gloves, and was in the progress of pulling off the lacing that covered her arms and legs. "You know what I haven't done in a while?" she said, as she was sliding her vest off, her skirt already missing.
"What would that be?" Vantie asked, a bit of a confused look on his face.
She stood up, and looked at him, meanwhile taking off her tube top, leaving her in her underwear. She leaned against the railing, a bit seductively, and as soon as Vantie took one step toward her, she flipped backward and dove off the bridge.
"Noo!" Vantie cried, quickly getting rid of what would be damaged by the water and diving in after her.
She hit the water hard, but since the top layer was conjured, it cushioned her a bit, however, it didn't do the same for poor Vanatiel. She cringed as she heard him hit, but quickly swam over and healed what would have been a painful set of bruises.
"That." She laughed. Vantie was obviously a bit amused, and splashed at her, not thinking that she was an Elementalist. She drew up a wave, about half the size of what she could have conjured, and brought it down on him, sending him on an underwater rollercoaster as it crashed and swirled in the typically calm water.
She dove as he surfaced, and swam quickly beneath him, grabbing his foot and pulling him down, but giving him enough time for a breath first. She sRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed as she swam back up, but hadn't counted on Vantie's strength in swimming since he had spent five years in the Maguuma (she still wondered how he hadn't met Hyper or Ksaiya while he was there.), and he caught her just before she got to the top, dragging her back down and catching a quick kiss as he swam back up.
After another ten minutes of that, Alicia was tired of it, and dragged herself out of the pond to shore, giving herself and Vantie a quick blow-dry before heading back to the main chamber of the Hall. She diverted to her room, changing into another set of armor, her Tyrian Archmage's. Her motto, once a seductress, always a seductress. She chuckled as she walked back to the main chamber.
OOC: Don't ask how Alicia knew about Hyper's stay in the Maguuma, look back to the top of this post please!
Kravyn had grown reclusive. He remained seperated from the others in a secluded place, high up and almost inaccecable to most of the others. When he did decide to move he did so steathfully and within the shadows, never being seen. It was hard to believe he was still there, considering how rare it was that he was seen.
At this moment, Kravyn was hidden, as usual. Laying atop a high stone pillar and stareing up at the sky. His fingers laced behind his head forming a make-shift pillow. His breaths were shallow and his mind blank. Beneath his mask he chewed on his bottom lip and let out a sigh.
"This is horrible. I can't stand sitting around waiting for something to happen. Even moreso, I can't stand these people."
Sitting up Kravyn glanced around, hugging his knees he stared ahead of him and let out another deep sigh.
"I will just have to deal with it, for now."
Kravyn pushed himself to his feet and in turn off of the pillar. He landed silently and walked aimlessly about the hall. His head was held low and he watched the groud pass slowly underfoot. In a mood not really to care if others saw him he passed freely through the light.
"This is so boring."
He cared not for getting to know more about these people. And deffinatly didn't want them knowing anymore about him. This is why he remained silent most of the time, keeping to himself and ignoring the others most of the time.
Finding a dark corner Kravyn crouched and drew his daggers. Twirling them about his fingers effortlessly Kravyn's deep brown eyes watched the metal flash in what little light there was in his secluded corner. Stopping the twirling he held the hilts tightly in his hands and sprung upward. Leaping into the air he twirled and span, as if attacking an imaginary opponent. Shortly after land Kravyn stood straight and slid his left foot back. As he did this his left arm swung in a wide arch behind him, his blad slicing the air, at the same time as his right arm shot out infront of him, in a stab-like way. Leaning back and pivoting on his right foot, his upper body swung low and his left foor rocketed out in a high kick, securing itself back to the ground firmly as he sheathed his daggers and slipped back into his corner.
"Yeah, rather bored..."
OOC: I just thought of how Hyper will see the future.... through his dreams. Although i will not explain what is going on in his dreams, i will give off one word when whe wakesup and screams it. He cannot remember what he dreams about so, he actually hasno idea what he screams when he wakes up.
IC:
Hyper had not been very hungry that evening so he stayed in his quarters. He had fallen asleep around midday. There was nothing much to do anymore, Hyper missed his sister terribly and him sitting here in this Hall was not helping one bit. Suddenly, Hyper awoke from his dream.
"MALI!!!"
Hyper took a few minutes to regain himself after waking up to his own scream. Not being able to think about what it was, he sat up and went walking around outside to clear his thoughts.
As Hyper emerged from the halls, he sensed Kravyn walking gloomly to a well-hidden corner. Hyper, curious to Kravyn's recent behavior stayed and sensed a craving for something. He knew Kravyn was bored out of his mind... not being able to torment other people. Hyper crept closer, as he did not want to be heard.
"But what blind man isn't quiet... I'm a retard thinking i could sneak up to Kravyn in the dark." Hyper chuckled to himself. "I might as well walk up to him.. I have a better survival rate if i do."
"Hey Kravyn!" , Hyper shouted to the small little corner he was hiding in. Hyper walked closer not knowing if he had already left or not. Alas, even though Hyper was attuned to his thoughts and could sense things... sometimes he was just a regular blind man. Hyper neared very close to Kravyn's location.
"You are skilled with those daggers. I sure don't want to be on your backside." Hyper chuckled to himself while still getting no reply from Kravyn.
"Aww crap... I'm talking to myself again." Hyper turned around, about to head back to see what everyone else was doing.
"Kravyn, what are you trying to do, make me look like a fool?"
"No..."
The voice came from Hyper's far right. Kravyn had moved, swiftly and silently as he heard the bumbling blind fool lumber toward him.
"....you can do that without my help."
Leaping from the shadows and landing directly in front of Hyper Kravyn waved his hands in front of his face. Shaking his head, his ash grey hair fluttering about, Kravyn sighed uneasily.
"What do you want?"
Crossing his arms Kravyn turned his back to Hyper, kicking at the ground and narrowing his eyes. Kravyn wondered what this conversation would lead to. A fight perhaps? A few moments of entertainment? Whatever the case, Kravyn would accept it.
Knowing how cocky Kravyn was, he thought he was going to get in a fight, or stabbed, especially during these hours and in a dark area. So, Hyper decided to not be aggresive.
"Well, actually, I was just wondering why you've been all mopey this past week, and why you still have been persistent on being an outsider. I mean, we've all been through enough that you should open up to us. And in the future, you acting this way could get our group into some serious trouble.I'm just saying this because everyone feels this way. We want you to feel like your a part of our group... a friend"
Hyper was silent for a moment, wondering if Kravyn was even listening. But he didn't care, he was going to tell Kravyn the facts, and he was going to listen.
"And I hate being enemies. I don't want to fight you or poke fun at you. I think we are bigger than that. Lets go get some dinner, I was asleep so I didnt get any. Maybe Alicia can heat it up for us if its cold."
Then Hyper fell to his knees. Thoughts were racing through his head. He felt something surging through him. Pain, Strength, Love, Sorrow. He was having a vision. But this one was different from all of the others, he was awake, and inside, it was killing him. He had never experienced this much suffering, besides his self mutilation. Light shown from his eyes and mouth. He was raised from the ground as light was shining through him. Floating up in the air, he forsaw into the future."
----Future Montagyness----
Mali collapsing to the ground. His own soul being overcome by darkness. Destruction everywhere. Desperatly being eaten from the inside. Begging to be saved.
Hyper felt so much anguish as the vision continued.
Alicia mourning, Plat fighting a powerful foe, Vantie consoling Alicia. Kravyn and the others shocked, and defending themselves from the ongoing chaos.
Everything went black.
---End Future Montagyness---
Hyper fell 5 feet from the ground and landed with a solid thud. Out cold. With only one person there to help him.... his so called rival...
Turning to face Hyper, Kravyn glared at the Necromancer. Pushing back his anger he straightned himself and regained his composure. Shaking his head Kravyn smirked and chuckled a bit. Brushing a few strands of hair from his face he looked off to the side.
"I prefer my own company. I don't need friends."
Kravyn was listening, he just didn't care. Kravyn chose to be alone, that's how he survived. Even when he was within the ranks of the Am Fah, a lowly bandit, he kept away from the others. He left them to their shady dealings and made it on his own. Robbing people for his own profit, surviving on his own. That's how he remembered the world, from the beginning. Bein an orphand that's all he knew, lonliness.
"We're not enemies. If we were, you'd be dead. Being a blind Necromancer, I've had many opritunities snuff out your life. We're not enemies. We're not friends. We're merely two people, tied to eachother through some form divine intervention. Soon as this is over, I'll be nothing more than a whisper in the wind."
Kravyn had said all there was to say, it was back to the shadows for him. Back to his secluded corner, hiding it all away and using it to fuel his abilities. But, this was interupted. A light, peircing the shadows, making them almost nonexistant. Turning quickly Kravyn drew his daggers and entered a low stance. He was forced to quickly avert his eyes as the light blinded him for a few moments.
"Cursed Necroman-"
Watching Hyper fall to the ground Kravyn tilted his head and sheathed his blades. Letting out a quick sigh he shook his head.
"I almost killed you..."
Stepping over to Hyper's, unconcious body Kravyn knelt and tapped him a few times. Sighing and lifting him from the ground Kravyn tossed one of Hyper's arms over his shoulder and dragged him toward the living quarters within the hall.
"I swear, if they think I did this, there'll be hell to pay..."
Kravyn went on muttering unhappily to himself. He was better than dragging a half naked Necromancer through the halls of some guild he had never heard of. Much better. Sighing he called out, for anyone near.
"It appears we have a problem!"
OOC: This is a really important post in terms of Hyper's advancement and the groups knowledge of his sister.. So sorry as a heads up.. im moving time ahead a week.
IC:
Hyper spent a week in a coma. Everyone in the guild hall worried if he would wake up.. let alone the horrors of the vision they all now knew.
Away from the physical world, and all links to it. Hyper was caught in a dream, a dream that felt like forever. Where time and space stood still. No one could stop this moment, his moment. He had been reunited with his sister, Sarah. After years of searching, she was there with him, sharing stories, past experiences, making the bond between the two even stronger. Hyper knew no sad emotions, only love and a joyful respect of Sarah.
She was 3 years younger than Hyper, now 22. After the Searing, Sarah was taking into a family of wealthy patrons from Cantha. There she grew up on Shing Jeah Monastery, learning the ways of the monk and all absolutes of her skill. She too is looking for her long lost brother, sensing something was wrong, she traveled all across lands unknown and even back to Tyria. She is still looking is very concerned with his health and condition. She sensed, he was hurt.
But in Hyper's world, they had already found each other. Enjoying every moment together, planning their future adventures. Nothing in the world could stop the bond between these two.
But alas, this was not the world, only a dream, a swift memory taken coldy away as Hyper awoke in delusion.
Everyone had been sitting around Hyper's bed, Alicia sitting nearest. She too wondered, if this was the end of the road for the lonely Necromancer, and wondered if this divine intervention, was meant to take his life.
Hyper sat up and to everyone's disbelief began talking delusionaly about his sister.
"Sarah! I knew I would find you, thank Dwayna you're alive" Hyper gave Alicia a huge hug, thinking that this was Sarah.
Alicia, in complete awe of what was going on, could do nothing than hug Hyper back, hoping to make his landing into reality much more soft. Knowing that if Sarah wasn't there, Hyper would be devastated.
Hyper, using up his energy quickly, still weak from the coma, collapsed back onto the bed. Everyone with their mouths wide open, wondering what the heck just happened.
Hyper mumbled a few words of his sister and quickly dozed off.
Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days, but we had a slight malfuction with our internet connection, and I just now got to a place where it actually works.
Now, since I'm back for a bit, I'm going to address some issues and lay down some new rules, and I'm going stright to the point. As a wise man once said, Dura lex, sed lex - I am the law, and the law is hard.
Ristaron and Leon Ux-Ixen - You have posted to minimally for your characters o be considered vital to the storyline of this thread. Either post more, or your characters are officially null-in-void.
Platinum Agent - Quit your god-modding. You know that I hate people who make thier characters out to be superhuman. Not everyone must come to you for answers, and especially not Alicia, since we all have access to the same abilities. Also, this roleplay does NOT revolve around your character, no matter how much you think it does. Either fix it or your character will be null-in-void as well.
Hyper and Neo - Great job and keep it up guys, just what I expect from good roleplayers!
Now, for the new rules
From now on, there will be ABSOLUTELY NO GOD-MODDING - It will not be tolerated and if anyone is caught doing it, their characters will be rejected and sent out of the storyline.
Also, I will be moderating the dispursal of all new accessories - This is to prevent god-modding attempts by over-customizing anything so that it is overpowered to any one character. I am also removing the 'Heart" accessory from circulation, as it really is doing no good. Only Necromancers have protection from Dark Energy, as well as Monks, with their Protection Prayers.
Now, hopefully the truth has brought you all to your senses, and we can actually get some progress into this thing.
Thanks Storm ^ ^.
For Leon and Ristaron, maybe we could send them a private message, as it is a possibility that they forgot about this thread or didn't subscribe to it, just my opinion.
I will also look for some new people who may be interested in this RP and would be willing to join.
I beg your pardon, but since when did you have any control over my character? And what the hell is with all these accessories?
This roleplay is turning into an online DnD-type adaptation, which is so completely inferior to a creative writing style. By using these hard-defined 'levels' and 'accessories', you're pretty much reverting to an earlier stage of writing.
I suppose to each his own, so go ahead and continue... but consider me no longer involved.
That also includes my character, removed completely from the roleplay.
Yeah, you were pretty much never involved in this in the first place, and besides, your character was quite a bit to my disliking. Not to mention that "I-must-have-it-my-way-and-that's-how-it's-going-to-be" kind of additude.
Also, what's wrong with an earlier stage of writing? Or DnD for that matter? Everything can turn into a good story if you try hard enough, so why don't you just shut up and give it a chance, eh? You never know how anything is going to turn out until it does.
And another thing, I don't have control over your character. All aspects of your character, if given by another, are disputable. Apparently, no one has managed to figure that out.
Would you like fries with that?
I was involved, then characters started getting controlled and these pointless new things were added and I lost interest. I came on to say I was removing myself from the roleplay after I had been out of town for 10 days and then I saw that people were now trying to control MY character.
Well RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO that, I said.
As for 'it must be my way and no way else', perhaps you should revisit my post and process that I didn't say you guys were doing anything wrong. I simply stated my distaste for the direction the roleplay was going and excused myself before I became further involved and removing my well-thought-out character would be a problem.
On the topic of characters, Storm, all of yours have been to my disliking, but have I spoken ill of them in public/held it against you? No. Your own megalomaniac attitude speaks ill enough that I don't need to say anything. You pretend to play by the rules, but they're rules that you dictate and change at your whim. You're a terrible team player and your characters reflect this.
And that's not just my opinion, but that of others as well.
So why don't you take those fries and stick 'em; and remember that you're not the all-amazing fantastic roleplayer you esteem yourself to be.
Well, here brings up an interesting point: you never stated that you would be out-of-town and unable to post, and so we took the liberty of joining your character with others in the storyline. No harm was done, and no action was taken to control your character at all, except from Plat and his "Kill the Reaver" sequence.
On the point of additude, I was probably a little over the top, since it was late and I hadn't slept in over eighteen hours. Also, you could have been a bit more understanding, since, as was stated above, you never told anyone that you were not going to be able to post.
As for taste in characters, that is simply personal opinion, and there is no need to get all uptight about it. I have had my characters and my work scrutinized time and time again about how they're too much the same or ill-thought-out, but I've learned to take the blows and shrug them off, and I suggest you do the same.
