where has the sup absorbtion gone 2?

i recently look at the rune trader in ascalon and notice that the sup absorbtion is gone. my guildie tell me that it simply sold out.. is it possible?

Yes, its possible to be sold out.

Ok, I don't claim to be much of a speculator when it comes to playing the market in this game, but this strikes me as funny.

Off the top of my head, it seems people have bought up the supply of superior absorption runes under the mistaken belief that they are not global, as in they only apply to the particular piece of armor to which they are placed. Well, I find this amusing. I can't think of any other reason that the supply of superior absorption runes would dry up after they were nerfed from protecting against elemental damage. I guess another possibility is that people think ANet will change it back to the way it was and the value would go up, but this ain't gonna happen.

Why else could the rune traders have sold out of them ?

Perhaps an individual or group of individuals are attempting to buy all superior absorbtions and force people to buy from players at an inflated rate instead of traders. Although, this is unlikely it is a possibility.

It is quite possible that many people had their superior absorbs on their knights boots. Now that knights armor is more or less usless, people are crafting glads boots. Maybe the trader is running out because people are buying them to replace failed salvages from existing armors.

Some items just get Sold Out...It doesn't have to be some huge scheme...

Take Sapphires, and why they arent at the trader, but Rubies are.

funny thing is... if its sold out at trader (which it apparently is), wouldnt the price be really high when you sell one to the trader?

i just tried to trade one at trader and the price was 800g... no biggie, considerning it used to run 40-80k when in high demand.

Sold Out =/= Expensive.

Sold Out actually means it stays super cheap, because the only way for the price to raise is if an item is bought more at the trader - which cant happen if its sold out.

I'm still waiting for a market crash/reset to stock up .

Hmmm... I could be lookin at this wrong, but if its sold out at the trader, seems to me it was bought one helluva lot... i.e. price would be high. That happened when monster claws and amber kept selling out; price was always high when you tried to sell to trader.

yeh shocks me to find that sup abs is not there at all...

i am with the warr nerf, it should be rather sold more than brought...

... and there are people selling it for over 40k claiming its out of stock! Needs a fix immediately ...

I figured there was a bug somewhere, as the trader said the last sold was @ 800g, while after the quote he would only pay me 144g (merch price).
This happened every time I checked over a period of 15 hours or so.. haven't tried the last 8-10 hours.
I know the superior absorb has dropped a lot, but not THAT much.

no it is not sold out. You looked in the wrong place. If they were sold out, they would have been worth 100k again.

what game are you playing shardfenix? there are no sup absorb runes available at the rune trader, thus, they are 'sold out'.
