Does this really work?

I found this out at another site...

Getting to level 20 in pre-searing is still possible, and even easy, but time consuming. The trick is to level up enemies by letting them kill you over and over at a res shrine. Eventually low level monsters will have leveled up enough to yield XP.

This was made much more difficult when they changed the monster AI to not follow you as far, so you can't drag large packs of charr to a res shrine to level anymore. But there's still a way to pull it off. Neutral animals will spawn right on top of a res shrine, and those level up just the same. Aggro the animal and let it kill you until it's higher level than you, then kill it to keep gaining XP. It takes a long time to level it up but you can do it AFK since the animal will automatically re-aggro.

Once you're done leveling yourself up you can charm the pet as well! Level him up to 20 the same way you always have been, then use your charm skill to get a level 20 pet to go with your level 20 presearing character.

This has been previously discussed... I believe I even pointed this method out, and a location to do so. Sadly, I'm pretty sure the guide was wiped due to bugs in Pre-Searing...

Yes, you can still get to level 20 in Pre-Searing, but it's agonizing.

I believe I would rather poke myself in the eye with a dull tack.

All that just to find out that you are way overpowered in pre, and still will be post searing.
I guess you are not easily bored. Even a beginners course of knitting is more exiting than that

They did an update to stop enemies/allies levelling up a while ago. I doubt this works any more.
