Have been kinda inactive the past few months but before i went inactive i thought i could invest in a couple of stacks Sapphires when they where down at 1.5/2k. But now when i come back they are just gone from the market. What happend? Has it been like this for a long time?
1. they still are in he game and still drop ( got one from a smite crawler in uw recently >< )
2. there are no sapphires for sale at the trader because there are 'traders' who buy them all off him, and plan to resell them when they have a use ONE day ^^
so its just as soon as someone sells a sapphire to the trader, the same moment a 'trader' buys it off him again ...
Well I don't know if it's a bug or not (I believed it was a bug, but as it's not fixed several months later I don't know), but here is the thing: traders buy them for the minimum price but they don't sell them anymore. So the best is to keep them (which is not a problem for factions owners with the new storage option) and see if it's going to be fixed.
EDIT - I don't think they're going to be used in Nightfalls. I heards the same rumors about Factions (rubbies and saphirezs would be used to craft amulets and rings etc.. Result: the only ammy we have is the Ammy of the Mists - nothing you can equip).
I can't wait to find out what they will be used for though... think about it rubies, sapphires, diamonds and pearls... aaargghhh me mateys theres pirate gold to be had!!!
I was just wondering... has anet ever said that they will have a use? I mean, it is human nature to want to hoard shiney things, so is it possible they are there for purely economic reasons?
