What armor's are you people hoping for?

You do join the White Mantle in prophecies... are are promptly expelled when you proceed to systematically massacre their leaders and the gods they worship.....

One little thing and they blow it all out of propotion . Me I like the armor Saidra had, I want that one for my ranger.

I want a fine "reaper" armor for necromancer.. all the armors i seen, suck ass? * lil * horns stitching out everywhere, and for the rest it's just some stripes. I wan't something "Godlike" A real "Reaper" Outfit and at the same time "Elegant" for what elegant means for a reaper, no more unfinished armor for necro !? PLZ?!!!

*faints* (in a gd way) I mean those spikes? not those lil ones anymore.. I want that.. I WANT BIG ONES !!!


BTW: Other post I suggested for skills "remaining Glowing Eyes" ?? Maybe it's better for an ele or summing that it has glowing eyes.. it would be so much cooler as "Head Armor"

Osirus and Horus are both male god in egyptian lore.

Thats more of a Rogue or Ranger look. I'd rather see an armor like that for Rangers then Assassins (Majority says Assassins and Ritualists won't be updated anyways). Either way I'd be R/A (Melandru's Fang) over the Assassin AOD build, they're much more sturdy. For Nightfall I'd like to see an armor like this, with a turban and sash covering the mouth. Ideally for Rangers. It fits with the North African theme as well.

One thing i would like to see for ele's is a simple robe like the emporer had in starwars (hood included!).

or possibly for monks but a brown version.... i think that would be neat... plus if ele's were wearing "dresses" you couldn't see that half of thier dance =P

How is it irrelevant? You can totally tell anime inspired armor from more practical traditional armor. Just look at the first armor that Hidden in the Mist posted....it's cool but doesnt belong in GW.

As for armors...I like the armors on the whole, but I'd like for them to dye more nicely.

I can imagine already that I will not like the 1.5k armors that much at all, however the 15k armors may swerve me a bit, if it is anything like:

W - 15k Glads, Kurzick 15k
Monk - Canthan 15k
Necro - Well.. any of them I suppose, I pretty much like all of the armors, 15k-wise that is.

Egyptian, Arabic style armors don't really interest me too much you see, but I can see there being a strong chance of a sort of 'magestic/holy' style armor for the warrior at last, one that is indeed, white and looks a little like the White Mantles'.

Either way, there are certain things that put me off, however I'm not letting it get me down, as we don't REALLY know what's coming yet, so hopefully there will be quite alot of things to my taste, Factions certainally offered its share of likes and dislikes.

Anyway, to get myself on topic, what I would like to see -

W - As I mentioned, Magestic, White, Holy, Sort of the opposite of the Kurzick's 'Dark Knight' look, and something that DOESN'T make your character look like he is batting for the other side.

Monk - I know alot of people enjoy the arabic cloth sort of look (hard for me to find the words), but I would like to see something like leopard/tiger skin armors mixed into cool looking armors, I know Anet can do this pretty well, as I've seen things like this done in other armors.

Necromancer - Definately go the way the Luxon armor went, and definately even more scar patterns, Factions introduced alot of new scars for us to use, and finally there was actually some point in buying 15k versions.

Elementalist is basically the same as Monk I suppose, I can see there being plenty of skin being on show, as in previous Ele armors.

Mesmer - I honestly don't know, maybe there will be more animal masks, maybe some sort of animal skin stuff, I'm not too bothered about this one as I'm pretty bad at Mesmer

Assassin - Big chance here to add more face cloaking, more mysteriousness to the Assassins, I was a little disappointed in the Assassin's choice of armors in Factions, hopefully more Rogue looking armors will be available, I sure do hope so.

Ritualist - I can also see this one being a big one for opportunities, Shaman style armors.

Dervish - This is one of my favourite looks for a character, I think I am going to LOVE these armors. Hooded, dark, mysterious characters, everything I want my Warrior to be and everything I wanted the Assassin to be. Definately looking forward to seeing the FoW armor posted literally days after Nightfall hits the stores , hopefully it will go in the direction of the Rits FoW armor rather than that awful Assassin FoW.

Paragon - From what I've seen, I think I will be making a female Paragon, as I am worried as of what will fall out of those male Paragon skirts... oh dear.

WINGS, all i want are some sort of wings for my paragon. Not crappy ones either. I rly hope the Paragon Fissure is badass cause im tired of seeing my FOW armor everywhere with the Core classes.

I hope A-net doesnt give us some more sin fissure either......

Ele +10 Al (vs all element) instead of Base +10 vs specific..

I'd even go with the removed "Adapt" before the orginal game launched (Base +5 Al vs all element) armor.

FoW paragon is definitely on everyones mind. What kind of holy warrior like the paragon have made from obsidian. Dervish I can already imagine. But Paragon seems aptly named since its becoming a paradox.

I'm hoping for more armors for the core professions that do not make male characters look fat (warrior, monk) or girly (mesmer, elementalist). There's a few here and there, but even more manly-looking armors would sure be nice

Also, more non-skanky female armors, when I choose to make a female character I don't enjoy getting humped constantly by horny little troll players.

If they had a balance where half the armors were fat and half were muscular, half are manly and half are girly, half are skanky and half are decently covered, that would probably work out pretty well.

As for specific armor themes, I really like the animal fur sets that were in some of the character select preview screens, and it would be really cool to have some egyptian-looking sets as well. I obviously also like the chestpiece of the male paragon armor because it is muscular-looking, if they make some nice pants for it that would be an awesome armor set. I would also settle for the paragon man-skirt if it was all made of something other than shiny fabric

Something without a coat tail for the Ele. Some nice kurzick and luxon Faction armor for the D and P.

The preview Nightfall armor pics look like something a hobo or person that lives under a bridge would wear, minus the female E one. If the others look like crap then Kurzick only armor for my chars.

I don't care too much about look, but more about functions: I'd like to see more armor that gives conditional bonuses, and armor that buff your specialities, like:

*A mesmer and/or necro armor piece that lengthens the duration of hexes (similar to Stonefist Gauntlets)
*A mesmer armor piece that shortens skill activation time for interrupts (similar to Bloodstained Boots).
*A monk armor piece that gives AL bonus for each maintained enchantment (similar to Minion Master armor giving +AL for controlling minions)
*A monk armor piece that lengthens the duration of enchantments.
*A warrior armor piece that gives AL bonus "while attacking".
*A warrior / ranger / mesmer armor piece that lenthens the duration of stances.
*A warrior / paragon armor piece that lengthens the range of shouts.
*A ranger armor piece that shortens the activation time for traps.
*... many more ...

The bonuses are universal, so the armor piece should be a headpiece. That also balances the bonus, because you can't use a +1 attribute headgear at the same time, just like it's the case with the Lieutenant's Helmet.

As for look, I expect mostly light armor. You wouldn't want to wear heavy full metal knights armor in a tropical / desert area. More light leather and draped clothes with only some metal enforcement. The armor should stick closely to historical armor of the North-African and Arab region: Egyptian / Nubian, Assyrian, Roman, Carthage / Punic, Phoenician, Tuareg / Berber, Moorian, Persian, ...

Something along the lines of what they are wearing would suit me.

From that little preview we had during the PvP event where we could glimpse the starter armors for the nightfall characters. I definitely look forward to it.

that is not just any armor, that is the armor of Justicar Hablion. His armor is quite different than that of the white mantle soldier. The icing on the cake is his cape. Its very big and long. Real freakin hot all around. Best attire so far in GW and probably will remain the best ever have been designed for the series

The armour Takonic suggested looked more like a Dervish armour to me...like "Flame Chaos Robes!!" or something.....kind of fits the EVIL dudes,eg:dark dervishs,instead of earth and wind elements,they use fire!!!....and also try picturing tht character in the pic holding a scythe....

Back to topic, i kind'a want Zassalamel's costume(or similar) for Dervishs...they would like very cool in those.....
