Well i was just checking Gamespot for any more news on nightfall and was looking around when I saw a release date. And the big date advertised by Gamespot is: October the 24th. So we'll have it in three months everybody. Three months of discussion and theory, waiting and torture, and probably some more stuff.
We have a release date(at least Gamespot does)

Well they have already launched the beta(well in five days), and they have three months to mess with it, perfecting it. I amnt sure about Factions, but that came out on time, didnt it? And they hav had a team working on this for a nine months already, with an engine that they have already used and know, and probably built, so no major delays would be expected. And they'll want to have it out by then for the big christmas run up. So I would find this date very reliable.

As has been said, trusting release dates not sourced directly from the company generally is a bad idea (and sometimes even direct from the company - I generally assume any non-expansion Blizzard game will be at least two years after the originally announced release date
). If it's not official, it is at best an estimate, although in this case it probably is a reasonable estimate to make given the 6 month schedule.Quote:

And any definition of "Holy War" should probably acknowledge that it overlaps with "War for That Fertile Bit of Land" 90% of the time anyway.
...None of which should be an issue in the slightest. I've seen nothing that hints at a religious conflict other than the standard "good fantasy gods vs. evil fantasy gods", which shouldn't offend anyone who isn't already offended by the idea of computer game fantasy. About the most controversial thing we've seen so far is the name Dervish, which alludes to a certain kind of Sufi Moslem... And even that's unlikely to be taken the wrong way. It's not like ANet was accused of promoting hashish use and strangulation by scarf by sticking Assassins in Factions, is it?
It's well known that Gamespot determines its release dates by sacrificing a chicken and consulting the entrails for juicy details... And giblets. So don't put much faith in them.
