Well, there have been many reports of extreme lag today. Don't worry about it for now. There's a thread in the Riverside Inn about this if you're interested.

I don't think your computer is the problem.
This laptop I am using to run guild wars is
Windows xp
Intel core duo 1.7 ghz
1.5 Gig RAM
Some Intel video card ....not as good as yours... runs it no problem
There is a difference between *drop of frame rate* and lagging.
Frame rate drop is usually when your computer is getting pushed by the game... like the ones *very commonly* seen to those who play Elder Scrolls Oblivion. Guild Wars is not high end system mmorpg by any means. Try playing Battlefield 2, you'll know what lag is
That lag you are experiencing might be some connection disruption from your cable provider all the way to the Guild wars server OR simply quit all background programs running; such as those peer-to-peer programs like MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Limewire, etc (since they consume a lot of bandwith). But if you get those slideshows, try lowering your screen resolution in game.

oh I see.......thx for the comment I really apprecited>>hummm yea huh maybe its my cabal network connecting to guildwar server! that sad i wasted 50 dollar for this game! and i won't even get the chance to play it! yea i sorta knew it wasn't my cpu becasue how can i play fable 2 perfectly withouts any laggs when fable 2 has very nice graphic like guild war. yea i try everything trying to slove guild war lagging....lower solution to the lowest...cancel every background running programs..even turn off my viruses/spy/adward internet protection!..dang it sux not be able to play one of the best rpg online game.
