Hate to burst your bubble about Verison but thats nonsense! Think about it. Both Cable and POTS use copper at the core (Pole to house). If heat caused resistance bad enough to stop freq flow it would happen on the more sensitive phone lines even moreso. Your issue with cable was either node inbalance, ingress (breaks in insolation making your line an antenna for outside freq's) Cheepo Radio Shack "push on" cables or spliters or a bad modem. Some modems don't play well with some routers and get locked up as well. Heat does cause resistance but thats what amps are for! Did your TV stations E7 when it was hot?
Cable companies love getting more customers on a node but are slow to balance the load or repair unreported problems to make everything work well. Other than that if you are on aerial plant I would have tech replace your drop from the pole as the rodents prolly chewed through it exposing the shielding to ingress (they make nests out of the rubber insolation). If your underground (no telephone poles outside) I would check for rover next door digging holes and pulling up the line as dogs love to do. An easy way to see if you have ingress is to watch local stations and see if ghosting is present.(IE: chan 6 has chan 9 ghost on it) If it is, you have "open air" freq's jumping on line. This will cause major packet loss and a number of other issues not to mention bad picture on yout TV stations. HEAT MAKES THIS CONDITION WORSE! This is a free repair and they MUST do it ASAP as the FCC does yearly aerial fly by's checking for leakage and fines the companies that dont maintain a clean cable plant.
Well the hits keep commin. Tonight 2 of us venture into the underworld. After clearing the ice wastes we get to hall before dryders and get stuck on nothing....yes 3 Aatxe, 3 Grasp's the Monk and Myself just standing there unable to move.. but we can attack...mobs can't. After wanding em to death (50 screen shots flexing and dancing in front of em) we could not get the drops and had to map out.
SNIFF SNIFF NOT NETWORK ISSUE......BAD CODE! I am really doubting now that the network guys have anything to do with this. Seems new code added to game is causing mucho bugs and alot of overhead for servers. This would explain the lag issue as well as the plethora of other oddball goings on.
The Network layer is a complex thing and bad code can seem good on some systems and cause major issues on others (routers, NIC's and modems of different mfg) Either way its clear this is more than a few isolated cases.
For those of you not having issues grats. But telling someone to do "nothing" because in your expert opinion "This is how it is" is insane. I doubt if you were having the same degree of problems you would sit idle on your hands! But then again maybe you would.
