Just wanted to ask as im a newbie to ritualist i want to know what is best either a staff with 20/20 or a wand and off hand with the skill recharge of 20% on both wand and offhand. Seems to me that the recharge would be more important due to long recharge than the casting as the two 20%'s from the wand and offhand would create 40% recharge but correct me if im wrong as ive heard they combine the two. thanks

Well , i use a 20/20 wand and a 20/20 focus, but i also have a Fiery Flame Spitter of Enchanting that i switch to when i cast my enchantments (since they will last 20% longer and also the Flame Spitter has 10% recharge on spells aswell).

If by this you mean the long recharge of spirits, i'm affraid your out of luck. Spirits are Binding Rituals and not spells, therefore they wont be affected by the 20/20 mods on your wand/focus.

So to answer your question, i would go with the wand and focus ...
