If you, like me, have managed to drag small quick launch buttons off of the Guild Wars menu and onto the main play area, here is how to get rid of them.
Simply left click the button and drag and drop it back onto the menu button and it will disappear!
It took me months to work this out and was rather delighted when I found the solution. I had a collection of about nine of them on my desktop before I finally worked out how to remove them!

I'm not sure if everyone knows this, but certain Windows functions work in-game as well, such as copy and paste. When you see somebody advertising for a group, but you dont see their character to click on and invite, simply click their name in the chat log, then highlight their name in the whisper field, hold down CTRL + C, then click in the party invite field and hit CTRL + V to paste their name in.
This makes inviting people you cant actually see SO much easier than typing in the name manually.
